Welcome to Lyoko Freak Wiki!
This page will be here temporarily until the wiki is in such a state that we can officially unveil it to the general public.

Update: 3/15/13

Actual content? In the episodes list?

gasp

I have some drafts saved on my computer for episode listings. I'll upload them eventually.

General Information
What is this?

This is the new Lyoko Freak wiki, a repository for Code Lyoko and the fanbase surrounding it. We're going to provide information about the show to the public, much like the main site did in years past. The advantage of using a wiki, however, is that updating the content can be done by any member of Lyoko Freak, whereas with the old site content updates were done by people with FTP access (essentially, Erynn, Lyoko Computer, nhjm49, and wartonchan). This method allows for content to be vetted if incorrect, it allows for content to be added as we discover it, and so much more.

Why do we suddenly have a wiki? Why do we need it?

TheLQ on the forums was wondering this, and it's a great question. With other wikis like Code Lyoko Wikia, why do we want/need a Lyoko Freak Wiki?
* Existing content - If you haven't romped around the main site in recent times, we have a large amount of legacy content that we might want to archive as well as the entirety of Lyoko Freaker's Fanfiction. While we could remake the main site to bring it all up to date, look at the current update frequency. I'm probably not going to do much better than my predecessors. On the other hand, a wiki can be updated by anyone, and can be edited to include any type of content we want.
* We have a quality community behind us - The problem with public wikis is that anyone can edit it. The problem with the Code Lyoko Wikia is that the quality is too mixed. Our advantage is that we have some insider knowledge about the show that other fanbases do not have. Creating a new wiki with quality, non-biased information would be easier than, say, raiding the Wikia, finding everything that is subpar, and revamping it to our standards.
* We can focus a lot on the fanbase as well - What information the other wiki has on the periphery fanbase is extremely lacking, at best. I mean, we don't even have a page there! Meanwhile, we have users coming in from cl.fr, CL Evolved, Xana's Lair, Tumblr, Reddit, and more, and there's a veritable wealth of user created content that nothing else even begins to cover.
* We have a reputation behind us - While not so much in recent times, we do have a reputation within the community. If I'm not mistaken, we're one of the oldest CL fanbases on the Internet, which gives us a distinction among the other communities. We can use this name to help deliver quality content to our users.

How am I suddenly logged into the wiki? I didn't create a user account on here!

This wiki uses the forum for user authentication. If a user is logged in on the forum, they should be logged in on the wiki. Logging in and signing out should kick the user to the forum for authentication, and return them back here. I'm making edits here and there on both the wiki and the forum so the process will be more seamless; any very temporary unexplained downtime on either service might be attributed to that.

Where's the content?

We haven't created it yet. This is going to be an undertaking that might take a lot of work, so figuring out how to organize our efforts would be an excellent place to start. I'll propose a starting point for getting the wiki up and running in a basic form, and from there we can flesh out the remaining sections of the wiki to become more comprehensive.

Lyoko Freak is, at its most basic form, a website for Code Lyoko. As such, the wiki should be dedicated to providing information about Code Lyoko. To roll out the wiki, we should do it in phases. Phase 1 would be gathering the essential data in a basic form, that way we have a framework to build off of. Phase 2 would put much more content in, introduce new, more detailed information, and expand upon the information introduced in Phase 1. Phase 3 would then finish out all of the missing information.

Why isn't anything happening with this project?

Schoolwork is tiring, and I haven't had the time to properly work on the wiki. That isn't to say it's dead; far from it, actually, but it's midterm season and filling in information for 100+ episodes, plus characters, monsters, locations, and et cetera, is hard work. Community contributions would be greatly appreciated.

Content Creation Plans
Getting the wiki off the ground won't be an easy task. For a wiki of this sort to work properly, there needs to be comprehensive information on most topics that people will look for (episode summaries, image galleries, a quick reference here or there on something that is not obvious at first). After the essential information is gathered, we move onto the less topical information and potentially do some analysis. To help organize this effort, I'm proposing a three part plan.

Phase 1 should start with, at the very minimum, is creating a directory of the seasons and episodes (possibly with basic descriptions of the episode for quick browsing). Think of a standard Wikipedia episode list; we would want the directories to be in that same format. Concurrently, we would also need character bio pages for all of the main cast and important secondary characters. Finally, we would also need pages on the important and common locations in the show, like the school, the factory, Lyoko, and whatnot.

Phase 2 should then focus on fleshing out much more detail about the show. Instead of brief episode synopses on the season pages, individual episode pages should be written with more in-depth information on that episode. Character bios should be written for the secondary characters who don't get get as much attention in the series, as well as location pages for the less traveled to areas of the worlds. It might also be a good idea to begin writeups on the different areas of the fandom, such as good ol' Lyoko Freak, CL Evolved, cl.fr, Reddit, et al. Fan lore also will come in during this phase (fan fiction, popularly accepted conjecture to explain the unexplained, and more).

Phase 3 should finalize the content additions by providing in depth information on the less important aspects of the show and the tertiary aspects of the fandom. This would include detailed information on the background characters, smaller or dead fan sites, and less prominent aspects of fan lore.

Welcome to Lyoko Freak Wiki!
This page will be here temporarily until the wiki is in such a state that we can officially unveil it to the general public.

Update: 3/11/13

I've begun working on the episodes directory. There's a lot there. Please, for the love of god, help fill in some content for those pages.

Update: 3/5/13

It's been a while since my last update, and I know that there are people who want to actually use information from here. I am working on getting more content for this site, but I'm completely bogged down with projects and schoolwork, and I overestimated just how much stuff is needed for this to all work out. We might not move out of Phase 1 until late April, if my plans work as intended.

Phase 3 would then finish out all of the missing innformation.

Nothing has really happened in terms of the wiki recently, is this an orphaned project?

Not in the least. I've been inundated by work and now school, as well as a myriad of other personal projects. In addition, as I am oft to do, my focus on the site has shifted away from the wiki for the time being to performing triage on the old main site and recoding it. The wiki will be properly developed in due time.

Phase 3 would then finish out all of the missing innformation.

When will this actually become something more than nothing?

Gradually, I'm working on the base content for Phase 1. Episodes of Evolution are going to have full in-depth synopses, images, and (when made publicly available) high quality scripts made available by Team Subsonics. Episodes of the original series, for now, will have basic summaries of the plots and maybe a few pictures or so. When Phase 1 is complete to a sufficient degree (I'm hoping by the end of January 2013, but this might be a little unrealistic), I will begin heavily promoting both the forums and the wiki on Reddit's /r/CodeLyoko, Tumblr, YouTube, Facebook, and at some point, possibly Twitter (I really don't like using Twitter, so if anyone's an avid tweeter then be my guest to be our leg in that area of the Internet).

"XANA 2.0" is the first episode of Code Lyoko Evolution and (discluding the two prequel episodes), the 96th episode of Code Lyoko produced. It premiered in France on December 19th, 2012 via the France4 website, and was aired on TV on January 5th, 2013.

Plot Synopsis
Roughly six months after the events of Echoes, life has returned to relative normalcy at Kadic. Jim, looking to appeal to the "geeks" of Kadic like Jeremy, experiments with cybersports during one gym class, much to Odd and Jeremy's bemusement. While Jim is setting it up, Odd asks Ulrich about his relationship with Yumi, only to discover that he has not progressed with their relationship. Their discussion is interrupted, however, when Jim receives a powerful electric shock from the computer. Aelita notices some computer code briefly display on the screen and becomes concerned that XANA might have survived after all, but before she can show Jeremy, the code disappears.

Outside of the classrooms, Yumi and William are having a discussion, while Odd encourages Ulrich to make his move on Yumi. Ulrich is not enthusiastic about this task, but when William leaves he decides to try to confess his feelings for her. As Ulrich stumbles his own feet while talking to Yumi, Aelita tries to instill a sense of danger and urgency in Jeremy, who is adamant that XANA was destroyed during the events of Fight To The Finish. All of their conversations are interrupted when the loudspeaker in the quad blares out a loud alarm before falling to the floor. Aelita notices some unnatural energy flowing up the loudspeaker wire, but once again fails to show Jeremy what she noticed. In the Rec Room, Aelita describes what she saw to the group, convinced that it is XANA. While at first the rest of the group is incredulous that XANA was the cause of what happened, Aelita convinces them to return to the factory to check out the Supercomputer.

The group arrives in the Supercomputer room and turns on the Supercomputer, reactivating Lyoko. Jeremy scans through the data to check for any traces of XANA, and finds that the Forest Sector and the Ice Sector had disappeared since the last time the Supercomputer was on. He runs the Super Scan to verify that XANA is not active on Lyoko, and finds no activated towers. Aelita requests to go to Sector 5 to be near where her father died, with Odd wanting to go with her. Jeremy agrees, and virtualizes the two of them to the Arena. He becomes concerned when he notices a strange glow on his screen during the virtualization sequence, but the two of them arrive without incident. Odd is overjoyed to be back on Lyoko with all of his abilities, but becomes confused as Aelita runs off to the Labyrinth instead of the Core Zone. He requests Jeremy to send him the Overboard, at which point he begins riding around Lyoko and planning on using Lyoko to flirt with girls. Meanwhile, Ulrich and Yumi travel back to Kadic to practice in the gym.

As Aelita examines the inactive Sector 5 tower, Jeremy receives an alert on the Super Scan, telling him a new tower has been activated in Sector 5. Almost immediately, three Megatanks approach Odd and Aelita and begin attacking them. The two begin traveling to the new tower, guided by Jeremy, with the Megatanks in hot pursuit. On Earth, Jim is replacing some fuses from the earlier incident in the media center when a specter in his likeness forms and renders him unconscious. As Ulrich attempts to tell Yumi of his feelings for her, the specter grabs him. Ulrich begins feeling unwell, and Yumi shoves the specter out of the way. Ulrich's vision blurs and Yumi leads him out of the gym, but receives a phone call from Jeremy alerting them to the true cause of what was happening. They attempt to lose the specter by heading to the factory.

On Lyoko, Odd and Aelita arrive at the activated tower. A fight ensues between Odd and the Megatanks, and Odd is devirtualized. Yumi helps Ulrich to the manhole in the park, where he reveals that his vision is blurred.

Yumi : Et donc ?

Aelita : Là, Jérémy regarde ! Tu l'as vu ! Dis moi que tu l'as vu !

Foyer :

Yumi : T'as vu quoi exactement ?

Jérémy : Aelita a raison.

Égouts :

Jérémy : On y va !

Usine :

Cet endroit me fait vraiment flipper !

Salle du supercalculateur :

Odd : Fuuuh ... On gèle ici !

Eh venez voir ! Eh regardez ce ... Ulrich, Yumi !

Aréna :

Odd : Eh Jérémy, tu me files ma planche ?

Yahou !

Ulrich : Euh ouais, ouais ouais, euh ...

Afff

Au gymnase :

Yumi : Alors tu vas parler !?

Odd : Super merci, brillante analyse !

Yumi : Bon alors t'accouche ? Tu voulais me dire quoi ?

Ulrich : Okay.
Uh ! Qu'est-ce que vous faites ? Lâchez-moi ! Je me sens pas bien là !

Yumi : Mais lâchez-le vous lui faites mal ! Oh !

Ulrich : Je vois flou.
Je te suis.

Cour de récrée :

Yumi : Je t'emmène à l'infirmerie, ça a l'air grave !

Yumi : Jérémy ? Quoi ? Xana ? Un spectre ?

Ulrich : Quoi ?

Yumi : T'occupe, cours ! C'est pas Jim, c'est un spectre !

5ème territoire :

Odd : La tour !

Transf ...
J'aime pas ça, pas ça du tout !
Odd regarde !

Odd : Ulrich, c'est bon, c'est moi. Jérémy m'a tout expliqué. C'est Jim le spectre c'est ça ?

Ulrich : Oui.

Odd : Vas-y, suis-moi, viens vite.

Welcome to Lyoko Freak Wiki!
This page will be here temporarily until the wiki is in such a state that we can officially unveil it to the general public.

Phase 3 would then finish out all of the missing innformation.
