About: 7th day of the 7th month of the year, when, according to a Chinese legend, the two stars Altair and Vega, which are usually separated from each other by the milky way, are able to meet. Some celebrate it in July others in August. Tanabata is not a national holiday.

Double post? I didn't post the same thing twice. I thought of another thing to put on this board 6 minutes later. So I posted something different.
