Ok, things you could improve on your site:

1)The logo is WAY to big. Try to find a smaller one to make it look better
2)Use your own personal web hosting. Some advantages are that you have a shorted url to remember, you can customize it more, and you can add more to the site as you see fit. It also looks like you know what your doing as opposed to using a generator. Might be a bit more work but will turn out good in the long run.
3)Try to combine forums. You have way to many for such a small site. If something looks generally the same then combine them.

Hosting your own website costs money, and it doesn't look like there's too many forums.

I don't know a single thing about running a website, but I think you've got a good start. Why the name "AvatarFanArt" though? Are you planning to have it center around art and fanfiction?

Actually, there are some good free hosts out there.

I run the wiki on 110mb.com, for instance. PHP scripts, like forums or wikis, are allowed on there. (A MySQL database is ~$10 extra, but you can use an SQLite database for free.)

There you can look for what you want. They have tons of sites, although don't check to many options, as you may not get anything.

I personally, use x10 Hosting for free hosting. The only draw back is that you login to there forums at least once every two weeks (which is simple assuming you keep you site up-to-date). No posting is required simple login then logout.

But nearly 100% of the time I use my own server hosted here at my house ;p

Yes, my server that is here at my home is free. Well basically I still have to pay for the ISP that connects it to the internet.

If I were you I'd check out x10's Ad-Free hosting plan.

Note- which ever host you use, you'll need a database for most forums. 110mb charges $10 to enable MySQL, which is the most popular, but some forums let you use a SQLite database, which is free.

Apparently PHPBB3 can be setup to use SQLite, meaning you could run it off of a free 110mb account. There are directions somewhere...

Or you wait until I get around to writing my own forum software.

check out that website i gave you. it will realy help.

currently, i use awardspace. they are free, but they disable alot of options, like the mail() funtion for php. I'm in the process of switching over to byehost17. try them.
