Me= A Big noobie with MySql
I want to know if its free...
I HAVE PhPBB but i cant edit php files... Not without mysql i assume?

To edit SQL files, you only really NEED something as simple as Notepad, just like programming in any other language.

To actually host a phpBB board, you're going to need either a MS Access database (for slower, smaller sites) or a MySQL database.

[EDIT] Unless you're running your own server, you need to make sure that your host of choice includes them. Both Erynn's host (Dreamhost) and mine (1&1) include at least one MySQL database; I dunno how many she's got (you're using one now), but I get 25 in my $5/month plan with 1&1

I have unlimited databases with my plan.

Moving this to the Tech forum, btw.

Search in Google for something like "free hosting mysql".

If they have MySQL, they gonna have PHP too. TIP: Get some old computer, install Linux with Apache&PHP&MySQL and that's all folks.

50 mb space + 2b bandwidth free, can be upgraded for free after a month
