When I encounter such a site, I use any and all measures at my disposal to circumvent such obstacles to gain the content, as, while I do believe fostering a community is important, you cannot force a community on people who do not want it.
There's a difference. Clicking on ads just benefits the site owner. Registration/posting benefits the site. I can't speak for everyone but I would never have joined TL if they had not (back when they were on proboards) required me to register to download stuff... but I quickly realized I wanted to stay. I'll bet I'm not the only one.
RySenkari, for the love of the forum, shut up! We don't want to hear your every little remark about what this one girl does! It's a site, and you guys're taking it too far now. And for someone screaming you have no right to take things out oninnocent people, you sure seem to be doing a lot of it.
And actually, I'm getting fustrated with all of you. This is about Teklinks, a forum that was shut down a while ago. It's not for the harassing, proomoting of harassment, or the REJECTION of harassment. *eyes*
