Super COmputers over regular systems

I was not sure if this would be rant or technical discussion, but my teacher said that an old supercomputer [ like xana for instance] would be inferior to the new windows series. WEll I got in an argument with her ,but recently my arch enemy has been tking up on her side, so I said Supercomputers are most likely to have better and more advanced systems because the government uses them. And by the way don't get in any arguments with me I always win.
Behold Lyokodude has re-emerged from the darkness. I got tired of not being here. Lol.

Season 4 alert be prepared for it. Me adn my friend know everything about un-aired Avatar seasons. I want a moment to be real

The term "supercomputer" is relative to the era. However, the supercomputer in Code Lyoko is obviously far superior to any desktop PC we have right now.

But yeah, old supercomputers from a decade or two ago would probably be trounced by modern PCs. I mean, processing power doubles every... What? Year and a half? Roughly that, anyway. So... Yeah, I don't see how you could think that a twenty-year-old computer could be considered to be worth anything when even if it was 1000x as powerful as the average computer of its time, it would be considered sub-par now.

Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercomputer, it's interesting.
