I know there's a free Anti Virus program you can download. It's called AVG, just type it into Google and you should find it pretty easy. You might also want to consider getting some anti-spyware programs if you don't have one already.
not gonna bother coming back

I use Avira Antivir Personal Edition Classic. It's free and very good. As for anti-spywares you could get ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy.

You *usually* don't want to download something an anti-virus program wants you to download. I did that once and I started getting adware pop-ups that told me to download that same anti-virus that I downloaded.

If your virus is telling you to download anti-virus software, chances are that it's merely adware and not an actual virus.

Download Ad-Aware (LavaSoft, http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) and Spybot: Search and Destroy (Safer Networking, http://www.safer-networking.org/). Have both of those programs scan your computer and delete any spyware that they detect, and the problem should be solved. If that doesn't work, post here and I'll see what I can do.
