This is more of a question than a discussion, but how do I make screencaps from an episode? There are some moments I've seen that I really want to use over in my captions thread.

do you mean like screen shots?

do you see on your keyboard the F12 button? look to the right of it for a button that says PrtSc hit that button and go to paint and hit Ctrl+V then upload your pic

That often times does not work because the video will be running on whats called an overlay. search elsewhere in this same forum for more info.

Best method to get screenshots of an episode IF you have them in a format like *.avi or *.mpg is to use a program called Virtualdub. Google for it. In there there is an option to save a frame of the video right to an image file with no quality loss or junk like that.

And just to cover my ass here: Warton, fraps is just a clunky way to do this so do not suggest it. there are MUCH easer and better ways to do it, one being my suggestion above. Others can be located by a simple google search.
