I hate Wikipedia! First they get rid of the episode articles for CL, then the characters and now the PLEACES?! This is just obscene!

The Wiki is not a place devoted to this show we like. It is not a place to devote to Grinspoon or to Captain Beefheart, despite fans trying to get more info on there.

I bet that out there, Beefy is on a social networking place.

KFan II is also very strict and angry around me most of the time. I think the admin for that should be changed as well.

Yeah, but the episode and character articles are gone, all because they're not notable.

I think it'd be a little annoying if there was a separate article for each episode and character. Code: Lyoko, while it does have some detail, does not have enough to warrant an entire article for each 30-minute episode. Seriously, just two articles--Episode listing, with brief descriptions, and a Character/setting/enemies list, with brief yet solid descriptions with no biased/fan-created information or speculations. That is all you will need, and more than most people will care to read.

Although the episode articles did go a little more in-depth than just the plain summaries. The old TV.com (tvtome.com) used to go a bit more in-depth as well, although it doesn't now. The episode articles on Wikipedia gave you a CLEAR summary of the episode. Actually, it was more of a recap, because the article used to have a really good recap of the episode, so if you missed it, you wouldn't be AS sad.

I didn't see much use for the character articles though. But I did like the places articles, especially since the real Renault Factory had so much history. :(

Characters.
Episodes.
I realize these aren't exactly what you're looking for, but it conserves precious Wiki space... I dunno, I think it's nice to have a full list of characters and episodes, rather than having to click on each separate article.

I have permanently left Wikipedia. Now there are proposing a merger with the Peter Pan articles. It's not going to stop. :(

I am glad that I left.

Anybody notice the Simpsons have every episode put in a Wiki page, while our CL is smacked down by the haters?

The Simpsons is certainly a lot more recognized than Code Lyoko. Wikipedia simply draws a line between important and unimportant, and CL is beginning to slip back behind the line.

Important to who, though?

I imagine that String Theory isn't important to the majority of Wikipedia's readers, but they'd never delete that.

Don't get me started on the Webcomic fiasco...

Why delete anything at all, Wikipedia is supposed to be an archive for all public knowlege, regardless of signifigance.

As far as I can tell, Wikipedia's policies on deletion are related to two things: 1) How much attention (clicks) the article gets. And 2) The content of the article (including how it's presented).

On point 1, something like The Simpsons (and any related article) would be getting a LOT of readers, likely hundreds more per day than 90% of the articles for any other TV show. That alone could be a strong candidate for all Simpsons articles to remain up for viewing.

On point 2, I refer to the aforementioned string theory article. While no, it might not be important to most of Wiki's readers, it IS an important article nonetheless. It's a scientific article (or to be more exact, mathematical) and as such, is an educational one. That's 1 point for the article. It's also explained very deeply, and goes into every facet of string theory itself. Therein lies point 2. So, while it might NOT get a ton of views or attention, it's still important, and you'd never know when you might need it yourself.

That being said...

Consider this sentence an early warning against pointless "I hate Wikipedia :cussout:" posts, or other spammy things. Never forget the reasoning behind something, 'kay? If you're going to complain, put a little discussion behind it ;P
