Scruffy McMessed-up says; Always wear your helmet, kids

Postby The BB of C » Wed Jun 21, 2006 4:47 pm

Greetings, everyone. I would just like to remind everyone to always wear your helmet when on a bike. I went for a bike ride earlier today and couldn't find my helmet. I didn't think it mattered because I always wear a helmet and I see myself as a pretty safe biker. However, I was wearing a hat. Going down a steep hill at between 15 and 20 miles-per-hour, the wind blew my hat off of my head. I decided to break and go back to get it. As soon as I did, my back wheel came up from behind me. I flung over the handle bars and hit my head and right forearm on the ground. I skid for about a foot like that before my bike came over my back and hit me up the backside of the head. The chain broke off and one of the brake lines is busted now. I just got back from the hospital. I'm litterally cut up from head to toe but the moral of the story is:
1) The BB of C is an idiot.
2) The worst things happen when you're least ready for them so always be ready for them no matter what.

My older brother and I were joking about that earlier. I said I was going to go to school anyway, walk right up to the hottest chick I see and be like:
"Check me out, I was mugged by a bear yesterday while riding my bike. The sucker almost got me. But he was no match for my UFYUO attack. Wanna hook up?"
And we were laughing!

This had better not mess up my plans for doing demo videos tomorrow. I've been looking foreword to those for too long. Maybe I'll do them with all the bandages and scars on my head. Give it a cool effect, you know, kind of like something along the lines of:
"Oh snap! Look at those scars and casts man! And he's still going! He must have seriously been in some kind of uber gang fight and got messed up! But he's still going!"

Something like that happened to me before. I didnt get hurt though. I was giong down a big hill and my water bottle fell out of its holder so I says to myself "self go get that water bottle before your mom takes a fit." So, in all my infinite wisdom, I jam on the brakes to stop. I find myself in a prdicament like the BBof C's except that I tucked my head down because I didn't want to mar my beutiful face and I manage to roll with the bike attached to me thanks to peddle straps al the way over and land back on my wheels before loosing my balance and tumbling over to the side. My bike now has a wheel that has a completely flat side because of how hard I hit.

Anyways that must suck for you. Any damage that will become permanent scarring that makes you look like a freak?

I feel for you. And I never wear a helmet. My mom is all like "take a helmet with you!" an I am like "whatever" so I take the helmet and strap it to the handle bars.

Besides, I didn't get the crap beaten out of me for three years learning how to fight from my older brother just so I could panzy out when I'm bandaged up.
I don't have any permanent damage. It will all heal over soon.
Ruder, I would listen to your mother and put your helmet on.
