Stay hydrated. Have a bottle of ice water with you as much as possible. Maybe go to a friend's house with AC.

Run cold water on your wrists. Trust me, major blood vessels and veins go through there, so lots of cool blood will be going all over your body soon. It works. Trust me.

Or, you could just sit in the car with the AC on. But that's wasteful of gas...

Or, you could soak your feet. It works, for some reason.

Go swimming.

get like 100,000 fans and have them all blowing on you.

smack the sun and tell it to back off.

disregard last two options and get youz AC fixicated.

close all the shades in the house and make it real dark. It will make at least a fifteen degree difference. and if you put on some fans too it will help.

Turn off teh comyutor. thats like pouring heat out of the back of it.

Go to sleep.

open the freezer door and turn it all the way up.

thats all I got.

I will answer you in order

I have been dinking a lot and unfortunatly I have no friends to go to

I have been useing a lot of water on my face and hands and feet, I have been in the car a lot(fortunately we have been going places) I would go swiming but can't for these resons,1 our pool is dirty,2 it's to hot outside. I would eat ice cream but it would make me sick.

we already have 5 fans spread throughout the house, we are working on getting it fixed but could take a while, but soon we'll get a new one becuase this is like the 5'th time it's broken down this year :arg: I would turn off the computer but we have to have it on(it's complicated) I can't go to sleep when it's this hot or humid, my dad would kill me if I left it open.

thanks for the tips guys hopefully they'll help.

Clean your pool. Of course it's hot outside, it's freaking summer! That's what the pools are made for. Also, are you lactose intolerant? Try setting up a couple of blankets next to one of the more powerful fans and sleep there.

The noise would keep him up, duh!

Obviously, the solution is to wait for a few days. There's a line of storms moving through the country, and it's a cold front behind that. In my area, the storms are already here, and the weather dudes say that it should make almost a fifteen degree diference. That means instead of ninety-five degrees, it's about eighty degrees. Not cold, but more manageable then ninety-five.

Trust me, he'll be so relieved from the heat he'll forget all about the noise of the fan.

Wear white and/or bright clothes. White and bright colors reflect sunlight, while black and dark colors absorb it and converts it into heat energy.

Take an ICE COLD shower. It'll work wonders.
Drink plenty of water.
Go into an ice rink.
Go into a European water spa and use their cold pool (if they have a cold pool, but they should because they use them for their heated pools)

But beware of the cold pool. It is REALLY REALLY REALLY cold. Seriously...

I can't just clean the pool. We have to get the chemecals balenced. No I'm not lactos intolorant but consuming dairy products in 105-130 degree heat is not a good idea.
yeah I saw the front but unfotunatly the weather guy said it would weaken before it gets here.
yeah bright(and light) clothes help.
I don't know were to get any.
I have been taking a lot of cold showers and now my dad is mad at me becuase I stay in there for a while.
I have been dinking but I don't think I got enough.
I don't think there is one anywere near here, and what's a european water spa?
anyway I have good news, today the guy came out and fixed it :D ,it's much cooler now(85-86) and I'm acctually comfortable. thanks for the tips since I didn't get to use them this time I'll see if I can next time(becuase it probably will break down again)

Frozen clothing

Postby Chosen_one » Thu Aug 03, 2006 11:09 pm

One last tip from the Chosen One:
When you go to bed, place the shirt you're going to wear the next day in the freezer. It doesn't make it too cold, but it will feel good.

It's been really hot in Michigan, too. Triple-digit heat, in Michigan. It just doesn't seem possible. The cable compnay lost power because of the power strain on the local power station.
