*ahem*, anyways... it kinda depends I guess. If the commercial is too violent and is best suited for mature audiences, they should at least put up a warning if not show it on Adult Swim or after 10, or whenever they're allowed to put "mature"-ish things on TV.

Actually, if it's on a channel containing adult material (such as Adult Swim and what you were watching), they needn't ban it, because they don't expect a majority of the younger kids to be allowed to watch it, but knowing parents today, allowing children to watch a majority of the programs on Adult Swim, their irresponsibility makes their children victims to such commercials. I agree, though, that they shouldn't really put such commercials on any channel. Keep it in the movie theater.

LOL, I agree with you on the October part. Even fr*kin CN during the day gets too scary for me around that time.

But as for the commercial (and believe me, I do agree; commercials for these movies scare the heck outta me and are just totally disturbing..), there's sadly not really anything that can be done about it. The fact that there even are so many commercials signifies its popularity, and therefore it's inevitable that there will be many commercials. People want to make money.. and if the movie made money then no matter what the content it WILL be on TV and it will be relentlessly advertised.. >>;;

Yeah, man! I would get freaked out and like, HAVE to change the channel whenever they played the commercial for that "Exorcism of Emily Rose" movie. FREAKING SCARY. (Now, I can stand "realistic" psycho-thriller type stuff. But supernatural stuff scares the dras out of me. It's weird, cuz my friend's like the polar opposite of that...)

Sorry for the dubble post-bump....... but it's that time of year yet again......


So, yesterday, I sat down to whatch "Whose line is it anyway?" when, all of the sudden, out of the blue- A comecal for what I think was the texes chainsaw masicur. Then, latter, this very afternoon, I was chanle surfing while waiting for CL to come on when I fliped to ABC family......

.....And I cannot mention what I saw out side of BKO.

Now, we can show people being dismeberd on TV, on a chanle kids whatch it apears.......

I know what you mean. At 5 PM on Fox, I was watching a comedy movie with my mom, and some of her friends... (It wasn't a bad movie either)

You've got to remember as well, that you can do a lot in a commercial you can't do in a show. You can now show a woman naked PROVIDED she's away from the camera and tere's a proper steam cloud or tree branch or something. Nothing completely profane, like actual exposed parts, but mabe a bit of minor swears.
