My father is in the army. My mom, well they're seperated and I haven't seen her since I was 8.
But my dad, he left for Iraq in 5 years ago so I was 12 that time. Now, he's coming back this Saturday.
I'm 17 now. He might think I'm different, y'know? I'm scared he might treat me different now that I'm older. I won't be his little Gino anymore.
This doesn't seem like a rant.
But....you know. You might not understand.
My gaurdians want me to go to the airport when they pick him up.
What should I do?
Should I drive somewhere to clear my head or go when they pick him up?
Help.

i can't give much advice considering I've never dealt with that but we'll be your moral support and cheer leaders *shudders at the thought of putting on cheer clothes but smiles anyways* just go give it a shot. you'll never know what he thinks until you go see him. if it doesn't work out then at least you can say you tried.

Try not to worry too much, and like some of the other people said.... You'll always be his little boy, I'm almost 19 and my parents still treat me like I'm 5. But be ready for him to probably be different, he did spend five years wondering if he was going to get his head blown off, and that's not exactly good for your health. But don't worry. Your going to see your dad for the first time in 5 years!
