Well, I might have to go into sugery to remove a bump thats in my arm. (doctors say its a harmless tumor) But the bump might be pushing my nerves an whenever i touch it, i get like a shock from it. Well I never had sugery in my life. I'm just wondering from the people who had surgery or even in my situlation, have any tips and whats it like in surgery.

I had surgery. I was out the whole time... so I don't remember any of it. It was just Wisdom teeth removal, though...

On another note, shouldn't this topic go in "Rant?"

It should. (Go in Rant, I mean.) Oh well, mods will notice and move it.

I've had surgery on my tonsils and adenoids. It's really nothing...they numb where they put the IV in so you can get your nutrients and all, and then they stick the needle in. And after that, they wheel you into the room after an hour and you're already feeling sleepy from some thing called "happy medicine". That's what they call it at the pediatrics ward anyway -.-

It tastes like something someone scraped off the bottom of their shoe.

But anyway...you start getting sleepy from that, and I said, "Hey, I'm gonna fall asleep, is that OK?" and the nurses were like "Yeah! Of course!" because, being with the pediatrics ward, they had to talk to me and stuff, and we were talking about how I wrote books and drew manga. And then I fell asleep, and it was REALLY hard to wake up from it.

It is so not like in the movies.

Opening your eyes is like lifting a 100-lb. weight. It's not fun.

But then you get lotsa special treatment, so don't worry about it. You miss school (3 weeks, for me) and get to play video games and drink blue Icee and everything.

Yeah, it's okay. You'll be asleep. It might be a tumor, which is why they would have to remove it.

Don't worry about it. *hugs DarkestSoul* Remember everyone here who's with you in spirit!

I had to go to the hospital once when my appendix almost burst. Its not all that bad. As long as you don't panic, and trust the people that are treating you, your fine.

It might take a while, because thier might be emergency cases that come in, but you'll be fine.

If your afraid of anistetic, its fine. I was under general anistetic, and maybe 5 seconds they shoot your IV with it, the room fades, and bam, you asleep. You don't even dream. I was knocked out in the operating room, and woke up in the PACU. Not that bad.

Thanks for all the replies guys. It really makes me feel better. I found out what I have.

Got this from Webmd.

Neurofibromas
Neurofibromas are soft, fleshy growths that occur on or under the skin, sometimes even deep within the body. These are benign (harmless) tumors; however, they can turn malignant or cancerous in rare cases.

What Are the Symptoms of Neurofibromas?
The symptoms of neurofibromas may vary, depending on the locations and the sizes of the tumors. Symptoms can include:

A painless, slow-growing mass
Occasional pain
Electric-like "shock" when the affected area is touched <<<< I have that.
Neurological problems if the tumor involves a major motor or sensory nerve or a nerve that is compressed between the tumor and a hard structure
