Middle School Sucks!

Postby ConcreteAngel » Sun Oct 21, 2007 4:21 pm

I'm normally not the one to vent but right now I need to. I hate school why are we forced to go? I think middle school sucks because no one listens to what you have to say. I feel that everywhere I go even here. I hate it so much when no one listens to me! I find it so annoying. I've had a stressful week at school so sorry if I get really angry. I just hate that no one really understands where I'm comming from when I say that: "no one understands me or anything I do". I normally don't care what others think about me but no one says what they're saying about me to my face. Seriously does anyone have anything better to do than gossip? I don't care if you don't like me just say it to my face. I don't like to hear gossip at all. It drives my whole family insane when someone doesn't say anything to our faces. Don't get started on how catty girls are. The girls at my school drive me isane when they don't tell you what they're saying. And when someone tells one of your closest friends about you doesn't that annoy you. I know a lot of you know where I'm getting at but MIDDLE SCHOOL SUCKS!!!!!!!! I seriously need to vent about this right now. Since i'm sick it's easier to make me mad and I'm sorry if I blow off on anyone I just don't get why people don't tell things to anyone's face. Are they scared they'd start a fight or something? They've already instigated something if they talk about someone am I right?

Well that was... harsh.

Don't worry, Middle school is meant to be harsh. But believe it or not, you can still pull through it! It's meant to be a transition from Elementary school to High school. ANd trust me, things are a LOT better in high school. But it's only going to be that way if you go through Middle school first, so you have a good base.

So, you can think of it as building a house! First you need a good pieve of land, and something to hold it up and to build on. That's elementary school. Then Middle School is like a foundation, soloid, and keeps you grounded, and creates a strong link between ground and house. High school is like the framework, and College would be the walls and electrics and plumbing and stuff. After that, it's all done! And you proceed to work and live in your merry house.

Which is you. So, if that's you, who lives inside you?

I don't know.

But please, just hang in there!

BTW... what grade are you in?

I thought middle school was okay. I'm in High School and it's hard, somewhat.

I know how you feel. It's really annoying since people don't really talk about anything except for gossip, "planning ahead", and talking about things they did in the past. It annoys me too, because I can't get that many friends since I don't really like to gossip, and things I do aren't very similar to what other people around me do. That's why I joined this forum.

I know people will tell you this a lot, but I think the only thing you can really do is ignore what other people say, and not let it bother you. How you ask? I am sorry, but I don't have that answer. I think all you can do rational think about how what they say doesn't really matter.

I tried to find something else to do to get my mind off it. I study more in school and spend time with my family more. I guess there's nothing I can do to help you. I apologize if this post wasn't of any help to you.

Quoted for truth.

There are a few alternatives t school, but they basically prepare you for banging your head to split rocks. Homeschooling, if you have parents with time, Is great because you get a personalized curriculum tailorde to your strengths and weaknesses. If you worry about socialization (which seems to be the mantra of those opposed to Homeschooling) there are several Homeschool groups such as Master's Academy for Fine Arts which can take away some pressure from your parents and allows you to hang out with other kids your age.

Oh, God, you have no idea how badly I wanted to be homeschooled. I hated my public school so desperately I was willing to do anything to get away from it.

Yeah, they assume all of us kids are capable of being equally teached by a restrictive one size fits all curriculum. The completely forget some of us have learning disabilities autism etc. Wait no, they don't. what do they do? THey put you in a special-ed class and hope for the best, ignoring that autism has multiple spectrums, Hyperactivity isn't as tamable as it looks, and other, less-secure individuals (bullies, if you wanna get all technical /sarcasm) will taunt until the day grows short and pretend to give a rip!

No wonder our public schools stink so bad.

I wish to clarify further: It's usually not the teacher's fault. The times it is, it is due to a lack of training, funds, and other things.

And it doesn't help that Some inner-city school children can't swithc to other schools, but that's another issue.

Yeah, pretty much. I don't have any mental disadvantages or learning disabilities, but that's pretty much what happens to kids who do. Teachers never care much about bullies, either, they're like "Oh, it happens to everyone, looks like your just going to have to deal with it." I was bullied a lot, especially in my senior year; I'm "6 '5, and weigh over 200 pounds, but I was scrawny and bookish. And other people, especially my fellow seniors, would never let me hear the end of it. Nobody ever listened to me, not even my parents, who just kind of looked away.

But that's just another problem that needs to be corrected.

Whatever. Forget it.

The deal is that In America, the Public education system isn't as good as Europe, but it's better than in some places in South America.

Actually,America is 26th, behind developed European and Some Asian countries.

My middle school years were horrible, but don't give up, most children that age are just imature. You need an education, and homeschooling is kind of close-minded, since you learn what your parents or you choose only. The curriculm is in place to teach what time has tested to be most useful.

I'm in 8th grade. I just hate school. It bores me to death and the only thing I can stand is being by my friends at lunch. We are crazy.

My older sister told me people in high school are more mature. I just hope so. Right now the 8th graders are so immature. They keep flinging paper folded up with rubber bands. Let me tell you it hurts a lot when you get hit with them. I just don't like that all the people who've been there all 3 years are so mean to me beacause I'm different. I went to a different school in 6th grade and the people there where nice. Now I think that everyone at my school with some exceptions are jerks right now. But I'm glad that I got to stay home sick today. It was very relaxing.
