Ok I was on the school bus going home half way to the first bus stop when a car hits the bus the driver pounds on the breaks andpeople go flying in the seat I hit my head I'm alright we had to stay on the bus for nearly 3 hours at the end of the 3 hours only 10 out of 50 students were on the bus(they parents came and got them).I'm alright some people are still scare I give advice on aol message borads but now I need it.How do I calm down

I was in a minor accident before but nothing like that. I'm very happy that you are ok (except for the bump on the head ^.^). What I would do to calm down is to get your mind off of the situation. Lay down on your bed and just put your face in your favorite pillow and just try to fall asleep.

I have never ben in an accident, but my mother was in one when she was 13, on thing that happened was that it broke her jaw, she said that you would never know how many food commercials there wereon tv until you couldn't eat hamburgers and such.

I've been in one.

It was a few years ago. We were drinving along and some guy comes out of nowhere and hits us in the rear door. The carr spins and goes like 50m. We were perfectly parked. After the inital shock I was like: Lets do it again!

Glad to hear you were okay YumiandUlrich4ever. My bus was in a minor fender-bender a few years ago. The brakes didn't apply fast enough at a junction and we hit the guy in front. Neither vehical was terminally damaged and we drove on, but the impact damaged the door linkages and for a few stops kids had to get out of the emergency door at the back until we worked out a solution.

One time I also got thrown into the bus stairwell when the driver stopped suddenly while I was standing up - my fault rather than his though.

Today however I was nearly in a crash - one of the streets in town is a two-lane one-way system, and we were driving along when a guy in the other lane swung across in front of us to get to a parking space - Dad only avoided a serious colision by slamming on the brakes, and thankfully the situation didn't devolve to a BKO level.

I was in a car accident a few years back too. Just try doing menial things to take your mind off it, go back to your normal routine. Listen to music or read (but not too much of them if either makes your head hurt worse..).

Uh.. yeah, I suggest doing what everyone else said... I'm not good for advice on that, considering I've never been close to being in an accident ^-^;

My bus got in an accident once. It's funny, when you think about it. It was last year. See, there was a huge subdivision-wide garage sale, and the streets were so crowded that we hit a car. We were there for ages, and eventually, we resorted to having sing-alongs to keep our mind off things. The police came to sort it out and everything. Thankfully, no one was hurt, just a bit shaken.

My advice is just relax. Don't sleep! Just curl up with a book, or watch a bit of TV, or go online a bit. Not too much of the last two, they can make it hurt worse. Or...EAT PUDDING!!!

I was in one when I was really little, so I don't remember, but it's good that ur talking about it instead of keeping it pent up. I know I sound really lame, but pent up emotion can really hurt you, so it's good to let it out.
