WTF!?! (Maybe the internet service, I wouldnt know though) but verison in general? For phones, its the way to go. They have the most towers, and the larget network, how could you hate them...you like, always have bars no matter where.

I dont know about DSL, but ive heard many a praise for FIOS from some reputable sources at dslreports.com . cant beat speeds like 15/2 (atleast thats the last I heard as a common tier. ive heard tiers up to 30mbit in some places).
as far as DSL is concerned though, sprint has been fantastic for us. literally no downtime and we always got our rated speeds around the clock. only reason we switched to roadrunner recently is due to some billing issues with sprint (slapped us with a $100 early disconnect fee and $50 reconnect fee for the DSL which was their mistake in the first place).
as for roadrunner, its also been fairly reliable. we had it once before and its turned out the same way where there was literally no downtime and 95% or more of the rated speeds. as well, pings back then were pretty much the same im getting now: around 40ms average.
