I'm So Sick of This.

Postby Briana » Sat Jun 24, 2006 7:05 pm

I'm so sick of people making fun of me or my interests.

My brother and so called friend think CL is the dumbest show ever made. That's their opinion, but the keep laughing at me about it. They even watched it,and after the first commercial they laughing at me.

I feel like I can't like anything without being made fun of.

That's why I go on the computer alot.So I can talk to people who actually understand me.And I'm always alone too.I'm so sad I don't even eat dinner with my family,I don't invite any of my friends over, and I am alone for 90% of the day. I have no true friends to tell my secrets too. It's also why i'm so shy.The only person I can trust is...well,me. I even talk to myself.

I almost got hit by a car 4 years ago,and I never told anyone. And I broke my wrist.

I have no life. I'm on the computer 10 hours a day. The computer is the only thing that makes me happy. :(

And I know what you are going to say. "Ignore It." I CAN'T. I just can't.I'm that kind of person who never forgets anything.

I just wish I had someone who I can actually trust forever...

You have everyone on here you can talk to, remember. =3 Funny, I almost got hit by a car once. Well, my friend did, but I was right behind her. I didn't go down town for 8 months after that, even though it wasn't me. xD;

ANYway, you say you're always alone? I suggest making it look like you're not, before you get teased about being a loner too. Me and a friend I have are huge fans of Code Lyoko, and she even saw New Order before I did. (Lucky spoon. I missed all 6 airings.) Just don't bring up Code Lyoko in front of your friends/brother. OR if you can risk it, say you don't like it anymore and watch it in secret. That's what I do, except for telling people I don't like it.

Honestly...they didnt watch far enough into it to really get the gist of it...so they just dont understand...but as far as for them making fun of you...it happens. You have plenty of friends here that totally understand how you feel...you can talk to all of us...we are always here when you need us.. ;)

This is a good idea. I would like to add to it just a little bit. First off, I think you should start inviting your friends over. Don't even bring up CODE: LYOKO around them. If the occasion should come up where they ask, just say: "I realized it was stupid and I don't watch it anymore." The rest is easy, don't be on the computer when they're around, don't watch CODE: LYOKO when they're nearby. Start hanging out with them more and the gaps in your friendship will slowly patch themselves.

Jeez. Ya know what? Your brother and <sarcasm>friend</sarcasm> are really, um... how do I say it without getting in trouble with the mods? Well, either way, just remember: they don't have to like it. You like CL, and that's all that matters to you. ;)
thank you all for the good memories <3

I know how you feel. Two years ago, in the sixth grade, there was these three guys in my school: Andrew, Paul, and Theodore (Paul and Theodore are brothers). Paul and Theodore are very smart (Theodore is one of the top ten spellers in the United States) and so is Andrew, but all three boys were pushed by their parents to be what they are today. And it may be as a result of that that these three boys seemingly don't care about anyone except themselves.

These guys were my friends back then (or hung out with my friends), and every time one of those guys were with my other friends, they'd all gang up and make fun of me. And as a result, I turned to the Internet for help. People I met on the Internet were nice to me, and they were fun to be around. That is, until they left. (See, I didn't have any instant messaging services, so I used a game called Pokémon NetBattle which has a chat room interface. The friends I had there probably outgrew Pokémon, so they left.)

Eventually, I started eating at a different table and talked to different people. My new friends were... well... better than my old friends.

Lots of people in my school still make fun of me saying that I've no life because I have a website. I must mention that these people are some of the most stupid people in my school.

So... I know that it takes a lot of time and courage, but I'd suggest you make some new friends. Keep your old ones, but start hanging out with new people. That worked for me. Also, if your friends are of the same race or nationality as you, try hanging out with different types of people. Their ideologies might differ depending on their culture or background. I used to hang out with fellow Chinese people, but my new friends are Jews. Their parents don't push them to be this depressed and mean.

I can relate to you on this issue. I have no friends except for this girl in my Bio class. I'm a loner, who likes the computer, and only the computer. No one has actually made fun of me for liking CL, but I can tell there's no one who reallly likes the show in the entire school, other than me. It's the same with everything else. But it's just their opinions.

I get the same sort of treatment from pretty much everyone...no matter what it is. x.x; I've given up ever attempting to connect with my peers, simply because the ones around me are too dense and too narrow-minded.

^^ That's what makes the online community so great; I get the chance to communicate with the world (sorta) and to be who I really am, instead of who everyone wants or expects me to be.

Oh, and yeah..I'm back from the dead, in case anyone remembered me. xD

I can definatly relate to you. I am on the computer almost all day. I don't really have many friends at school and the ones I do have, or better yet; the people I kinda know, they don't like Code Lyoko. All the other 'anime lovers' like stuff like Inuyasha and Naruto (although I do too) but not Code Lyoko. They complain about the big fore heads and stuff like that. Plus they say its stupid. And on the Internet I find other Code Lyoko fans who like it just as much as I do. :D And I agree with people who posted earlier. And to me, the people who don't like Code Lyoko or make fun of me for my interests (I don't think there are many Matrix fans in my school, either) are just...stupid. Well, I mean all they do is talk about nothing and gossip or something.

I too can relate to this. See, in my 2nd class at high school, there are two of these jocks that make fun of me and my friend because we play video games, read manga, and watch anime. So I can understand your pain, we all have to deal with a bunch of ignorant buttwipes once in a while. But don't worry, I'm sure it'll come to pass.

As for bein' on the compy, that's nothing new. I'm on it until the wee hours of the night. It's mine anyway, so yeah.

I feel for you. (Even though nobody really cared I liked CL.)

But let me tell you something, if you so called friend and brother make fun of you for watching something you like(Or love, I don't know.) their just being *word not for mentioning, nothing bad but yeah...* and if you like something who should give a rats behind? They should just live with it and leave you alone.
I hope all of our advice helps. (Mine probably won't! :3)

You've got some good friends on here even if you don't know them too much. NeverMind seeing their faces. ;) :)

(Plus no offense here being at the computer almost every minute of your life is bad for your health...that's why I got glasses.):peace:
