So here's the deal: I had to go for a blood test so my doctor can put me on some kind of medicine. So I go for the test and my liver enzimes were very high. So my doctor sent me for ferther testing. so I got another blood test. My doctor said to see a doctor that helps keep your blood sugar under control with in 7 days. So I went to the doctor and he said to go to the hospital. I broke out in to tears. He said that I had diabetes and my surgar was out of control. So for the last 4 days they did non-stop testing. We went for an ultra-sound and they said that I only have 1 KIDNEY. On top of that everyone was fliping out! We still don't know what type I have but they say I may have BOTH! So I could be on insluin and pills. THIS SUCKS!

Damn... excess of enzymes in the liver seems to be the new fashion disease around the States (j/k). Because now that you mention it, maybe it could be. Before WWE Smackdown's Pay-Per-View event called The Great American Bash (originally came from WCW, but WWE took it back to television by 2004), three wrestlers had high enzymes concentration on their livers (Bobby Lashley, The Great Khali and Super Crazy) and were took out of the event that happened yesterday.

*hugs*

More info for those who don't know or are lazy to search about it right here.

Not a medical professional, but I would guess Type 1, from the fact that you have only one Kidney.

My Granny has Diabetes too.

also, side rant: everyone has ADD/ADHD nowadays it seems

I'm sorry to hear that. My grandpa has diabetes too. He makes sure that his blood sugar is right everyday and my grandma is always watchful of him. We sometimes joke around and call my grandma the diabetes police. But I'm really sorry to hear that. Just be strong and hold your head up high. Even though this may seem like a dark time it'll make you that much stronger and also much wiser. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Ya know... back in the day another word for ADD/ADHD was stupid. >.>

Just saying because I diagnosised with ADD as well and looking back on my childhood it seems like the biggest crock of poo in the world.

Darn straight! That stuff doesn't even exist. That's why everyone has it. All it is, is the parents don't know how to dicipline their kids and keep them in line, so they grow up spoiled and goofy and end up showing symptoms of these "disorders." I got the most effective medication for it attached to my shoulder. Just smack the kid on the back of the head good and hard and let him know what he did wrong enough times and he'll never act up again.

Sorry I havent been on in a while but with all of these doctors I have no time for what I want to do. It was confirmed that I have type II. This means that I only have to take oral meds. Right now I am still on insluin but they are decreasing it little by little. My surgar is in normal range now but the other night my sugar dropped down to 81. It is still in range but I really didn't feel good. I was sweting, my head hurt. I was having a headache all day.(frequent headache's comes with it too). And when it was 9:00 i'm like mom i dont feel good. She told me to take my sugar and it was 81. So she did what she had to do. Luckly, I didn't pass out. If I did she would have to give me an injection. But everthing is ok now and I am fine. And my enzymes are back to normal.

Sounds like it's all working out. Once your Diabetes clears up and if it turns out you have two kidneys, still take a lesson from all of this. It's important to always have good nutrition and things of that nature. I'm not making too many assumptions here, but when I see it, poor diet is what usually causes Diabetes and kidney failure.
