Fitting in

I just wanted to talk about this for a sec because it looks like things are alot worse then when I was in school. First i'll start by saying that being fat is not that bad of a thing, i'm not talking about from a heath stand point but from a dealing with others standpoint. When I was in high school sometimes I would get looked at like I was a subhuman or something. I was always picked on for mo good reason. And girls, like that ever would happen. It's sad to me now looking back that people are still the same way. But I will say living life like this has done something for me. I now see people for what they are and not what they try to be. In most groups of people there are I few that try to stand above the others just to make themselfs feel better. But being a real friend means that you take the person with all there good points and bad. I've finally seen this because of some people I just started to hang out with. Every one in the group is so different it's not funny. At first I thought that they were just another group that will cast you out if you say or do anything out of the norm. But I've seen in the past weeks that they like me for just being me I don't have to try and be like them or anything. I am the only black guy in the group and as I was saying earlyer I am fat. I found that before it was hard for me to fit in and I thought I needed to change but I see that maybe the world should change a bit and like other for just being them.
