This might seem normal but it got a little out of hand now.

I've been dealing with this since...8 years of age. And I'm 17 now.

Whenever I write something for school or some other thing that has to do with spelling if I spell it wrong, I HAVE TO FIX IT. I go crazy if I spell it wrong and I don't know the correct way, but the other one is I spell it correctly and I think it's wrong. So I go off in a tizzy about that until I go home and look it up.

I GO NUTS.

Then the other one is when I'm walking, for instance a paved road. You know there are little holes in paved roads or cracks? I HAVE TO STEP ON THEM; if I don't something in the back of my head in the middle tickles/irritates slightly and bothers me for two hours.

Then another thing is chairs legs...or the table’s legs. If it glides against the carpet really hard and I hear it or see it I feel that same feeling up above but WORSE.

That last thing is when I take a shower. Once I'm dry my hands are the first thing to dry. When I get dressed my hands hold the clothing or touch it when they are dry and it irritates my handsto the max and I have to wet them. AND the same feeling up above.

I have no clue what in the world is wrong with me.

This doesn't make much sense does it?

Not too much sense in that last part about your hands...

Ever consider that this might be OCD? Sounds like it to me.
thank you all for the good memories <3

I dunno. The first one I think might be slightly OCD, but I hate the feeling of walking on cracks and holes. I get the same feeling in the back of my head.

And the table thing? I can sympathize, sort of. For me, it happens to be clay. Dry clay. Touching it makes give me goosebumps.

The hand thing... I dunno.

So, I sympathize with about fifty percent of what you said, and I don't know how to respond to the rest. Sorry!

I think I get partially. I couldn't explain any better than that if it was my problem(maybe better no offense) but it sounds something realated like OCD.
Currently, you will not see me in Forums any longer. I will be on chat though. ^.~

I would bet OCD for sure. Those are classic examples of it. I sympathize with you...but the good news is, there is help for this.

Yeah. I got the same problem. I have an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as well. When it comes to typing it has to be right. Also, when I'm in Woodshop class, I spend all of my time sanding down one part of me project because it only has a little tiny bump in the wood that will never go away. The annoying thing is that I can't seem to stop getting annoyed over it.

So, OCDs are common. I didn't know that I had one untill I realized that I've been working on the same leg of my table project for the past 3 months..

Wow...thats crazy DB. Maybe try telling yourself that some things are going to happen, like holes in the street, bumps in wood, that sorta thing, and maybe your mind wont try to make you make things perfect if it knows that it will never be perfect.

That probably didnt make much sense, but I hope it helps in some sort of way.

I tell myself that it's just a bump in the wood and to get over it, but I can't rip myself away from it lol. Oh well.

Keep trying..and once you are able to do that, apply it to your other areas that you have trouble in.
