The problem in Atlanta right now

Postby Malkmusian » Sat Mar 15, 2008 12:16 am

You should see what happened it Atlanta tonight!

First off, while we were trying to leave the Civic Center (we saw The Passion Play), a storm warning came up and they found out that the Georgia Dome was totaled (it flooded and everything was shaking in it). Next, we scratched up a Mercedes-Benz from the 1990s and we had to wait for 20 minutes just to be cleared of any accusations. Next of all, I, along with my friend Kyle Reagan, found out that the storm hit the Conyers-Covington area.

...and what's ironic about this? I was with a church group (I'm Christian, by the way) and they had tickets to see the Play. My friend Parker stayed at home, watching the Georgia-Tennessee game and its destruction. Oh, boy. I can't wait to see the outcome.

I gotta go to sleep now. My sister may have a soccer game at 8:30 in the morning. Oh, lucky me. :cussout:

Dude, I feel very sorry for Georgia, they are just getting it over and over again. I hope things get better soon.

Ugh, bad things happen to good people.

I've always wanted to see the Passion...

What sucks is that I was right in the middle of it.

Wow, I didn't know there were so many Georgians here. Sweet! I'm south of Atlanta.

But that really sucks about the Dome. This is exactly why I have a problem with it. Why build something with a CLOTH roof? That's an invitation for destruction. At least it didn't collapse or something.

Also, because of Billy the Mountain yet again causing a bad hailstorm/tornado in Georgia, I had no power for 5 hours and 36 minutes.

Yah, I was at a friend's house 'cause she was turning 16. She was having a sleep over to celebrate and I missed most of the festivities 'cause her little brother couldn't sleep. He was scared out of his wits so I was comforting him most of the night. :*D I didn't mind though. He's a pretty cool kid.

I was watching the game that was going on live. For 10 minutes they focused on the dome as it was shaking. Must of been scary to have been there.

CNN did a report on it. They had a whole bunch of things go wrong. Computers almost got wet. Electronics got damaged. Really sucks.

I unluckly was in Florida during 2004 when Hurricane's Charle,Francis, and Jeanne hit. So I know how it is... I also was in Louisiana during Katrina, lucky I was en route leaving the state when it did actually make landfall. But my best of wishes & prayers go out to all those affected by the recent storms.
