I understand your pain. A friend I used to have that I shared a billion interests with joined the navy and now is gone. I write to her and she never answers, and one time I even found out she had come back for some months and did not so much as try to contact me while she was here... so you know what I say? I say, forget them. If they think they're too good for you, then you can know you're too good for them. Spend time with your other friends. There are other friendly fish in the sea.
