I know from previous frames that that's Yumi's fan...and he's supposed to have a XANA symbol on his forehead...oooh. Either that, or he's being probed somehow. Just a guess.

I'm pretty sure that's her fan, but why she has it close to his head is beyond me. Kinda looks like she has a gun to his head and is about to shoot through his brain.

Anyone else have any ideas on the picture with Yumi at gun-point with Xanliam? Obviously there is a reason, I mean foward-flip and acciddentally poke him in the head. If it was a back-flip I'd believe my theory. The more I look at Williams expression he doesn't seem so annoyed (as that's the look he always has) nor does he looked surprised. Inbetween.

Finally... five days after the season premiere of CL Season Four... I WIN!!! I WIN!!!

I HAVE FINALLY WATCHED WILLIAM RETURNS!!!

An awesome episode. William's back, Sector Five is back, and the digital sea is back. A perfect re-entrance to the glory of CL.

I liked the end credits, too. I mean, did anyone else look at that? It had the Waldo Schaffer (or whatever) file with all the pictures of Franz Hopper in it! This is significant... I can feel it in my bones...

Hmmmm...it kind of looks to me like she somehow out-maneuvered him and managed to get into a position to deal the final blow...however in the video it looks like she hesitates...or she at least stops and doesn't follow through with an attack. This might be because she wasn't expecting catching him off guard, or she's hesitating because she doesn't really want to hurt him...then again, it could also be both.

...Looks like we'll just have to wait and see, everybody. ^^;

On a sidenote...I wonder if she's defending anyone from William... *shifty eyes*

Poking someone in the head works ^_^ Her fan does look about to discharge something too. Usually when it's closed it's just black....or white/pink..

Really, I didn't care that much about the digital sea until watching this episode.

I still hope that Moonscoop gets rid of the new outfits for good. The show had a decent start, let's not make it go crappy.

I was thinking about that too. But my fingers were too lazy to feel like typing it! xD

Maybe it's to 'draw' out the real William. Or William is really...DEAD...and Xana is using his body.

No, if you look at the pictures, you can see that is indeed Yumi's fan.

Though interestingly enough, they're in a closed position, charged as if they were just flung, but they way everything's positioned, that's obvivously not the case.

I think that that scene's not complete. If S4 really is the final season for CL, we could very well be looking at what could potentially be the final episode. Yumi, giving an actual strike to William, and at the head for that matter. Look at the first scene, from what we can see of Yumi's face she looks really desperate to attack William.

Though relooking the 2nd scene, the way her hand is positioned, it seems as if she just missed slashing open William's head...either that or she's trying to stab at him, but given the way she's holding her fan/stick thing, it doesn't seem like it...

Given the fact that there's a faint XANA symbol there, my theory is that that spot on William might cause immediate devirtualization (dunno what good that'll do...) or might free William from XANA's control. I don't think William is all necessarily lost, I think he himself is a prisoner of XANA. Or even, striking that will get rid of XANA itself, like its conscious thinking part. Any of these reasons, and maybe more, can be ground basis of why Yumi looks so determined to strike William, and aiming high on his body for that matter...

Her weapon though is interesting...(Yes, prepare for major geekness, feel free to smack me if I get anything wrong)

Looking back at the S4 preview, Yumi does indees keep her fans as her weapon which leads to the conclusion that the object in her hand at the moment is her fan, only folded up and "charged"

Though, the biggest issue I'm having so far, is rewatching the opening 20+time, especially the parts with Yumi in it. Although Carth has posted image caps of it, it's where the 2nd scene is pulled out that I'm having trouble. If you watch it and look carefully, it looks as if for a split-second, either Yumi's fan made contact with William's head and he's annoyed at that fact, or Yumi missed a bit...

Okay, more geekness...

It is extremely annoying how about every second, there's a different scene being played...

Not even a second before Carth's 2nd scene, it shows Yumi slicing downwards, which actually makes more sense with her fingers in that position, however, it appears as if it missed, the only question is, was it just a coincidence that there's a faint XANA symbol at that spot as well?

Yes, I know that was rambling and I'm not exactly the best explainer in the planet. Thoughts, Suggestions, Clarifications you guys?

When Yumi's fan touches Xanliam's forehead, the symbol looks like it's glowing (or maybe that's just the glow from the fan?), and his expression becomes visibly slack- eyes narrow, mouth drops open...what could it mean, what could it mean...

But then again, if what you say is true, that the glowing is only from Yumi's weapon (which has the same glow factor and the fact that XANA symbols normally don't glow like that can be true)

We've seen from practically every ep that a monster's weakenss is indeed the XANA symbol regardless of where it is. Xaniliam has big symbol on his chest and if Aelita's energy field attack is anything to go by, that's obvivously not it. Maybe, if what you say is true that it's glowing in that shot only because Yumi striked it might be them discovering where it is for the first time. If we go by that then we could potentially be looking at maybe the first part of the usual two part endings, them discovering his weakness, XANA realizing this, a big fight. Maybe, correct me if I'm wrong, that's where the first shot then comes in. Possibly final episode, Yumi making a desperate attempt to strike that area once again.

But then again, this does contradict some stuff, if the XANA symbol is the weakness, then from what we've been following, everytime a Lyoko Warrior strikes the symbol, the monster is toast. If Yumi really did just strike it then technecially Xaniliam should go splody, or at least the XANA part of Xaniliam and just leave William, maybe devirtualized and having no idea what was going on, the same exact story he gave the Lyoko Gang in WR.

Or, if Xaniliam does follow the, symbol touched results in kablooly!, then his expression could be XANA be extremely angry at them for discovering it, maybe even mere seconds before his kaboom time. In that case, then that could be final ep, all is well. Or maybe even 2nd-to-last, William coming back, gang telling him what happened, XANA defeated, Hopper comes back, compy shut down YAY!Happy!ending.

If it WAS getting cancelled (100% chance it's not due to its runaway success), the VAs would have SAID something about it.

You're right. Which is why I said, if S4 really is the last season.

However, I do see potential for S4 to be the last season, how many eps is it suppose to have? 30 right?

In my opinion that's the right amount of episodes for action, plotline, high point, conflict, the coming together of everything, the final resolution, happy ending.

I could be very wrong and there still be another season or two, it could have that potential as well. XANA gets a physical form for himself and comes to Earth to actually attack it, with XANA having a physical body, it gets harder and harder for the Gang to hide the world from the realization of XANA. I dunno, like I said, I'm working under the assumption that S4 is indeed the last season and thus am basing everything around it. If we find anything to differ, than maybe I can rework out some thoughts in my head. But as it stands, everything is based around S4 being the final season.
