yeah, thats all that really is..as far as The Key is concerned, there wasnt really much she could have done creatively to change anything that happened...sometimes it just doesnt help a situation.

exactly...if it were any of the other sectors that had outside locations..she could have done something, but in Sector 5, they were in that room that constantly changes..and things were happening way too fast for her to have any substantial time to do anything.

I dont know that he could have though, the scyphozoa snuck up on Aelita...so he wouldnt have had time to do anything about it. What amazed me though was that even though everything was stacked against them, they had the right attitude at the end..which is important. Most people in a situation like that give up so easily. But they went right up to the end and vowed to continue on despite everything that they had just gone through.

The Key was a dumb episode. I mean, when I saw it I already knew everything. Although
I saw it in 2006, not 2005.

I didn't care for The Key either. After witnessing the deus ex machina employed in Revelation I expected Hopper to appear from nowhere and save Aelita, so the dramatic tension I might have otherwise experienced from this episode was nullified. I also foresaw several other plot elements before they occured in this episode and in Revelation, so too bad for me, I guess.

When Aelita fell to the floor I screeched "NOOOOOOOOO!" and when Odd said he was going to have a heart attack, I said "Like me." Now... which other memorable quotes I said... oh yeah, when Aelita died, I shrieked "AELITA! NO!" and when Franz Hopper saved her I said "Thank goodness!"

I thought Odd saying that he was going to have a heart attack was pretty funny, but its when he said....can I have it now..or something like that, I really cracked up..but it at least helped me not to feel so sad the first time.

I have a couple of questions that I was wondering if any of my fellow CL obbessors can help me with. First, is it just me or did Franz kinda lose his mind, the date in his journal never changed yet the day number changed, but before you all screech RTTP at me realize that he didn't discover RTTP until about half way through his video files...it makes no sense!!
my other question is Aelita's age, if she was virtualized in about 1994 according to her father's video files then depending on what time they go by shes anywhere from 1 to 12 years older than she looks, either the present day CL team discovered Lyoko in like 1995 or 1996 and the whole show is based then or its based in present time (as in 2006) and Aelita is about 12 years older than all of them. Is that strange or what! Either way it was an awsome episode it just had a few kinks to work out.

That's what I figured. I'm not at home, so I can't watch the episode again to verify, but doesn't he say it gave him all the time he needed? Odd that he wouldn't just say in the first or second entry "isn't this time machine feature cool?" or something, but I can believe it.

I was just wondering really, i wanted to see if anyone else had noticed that particular fact. Thatnk you for you theories and i'll go back and watch the episode again to see if it fits but heres another one i thought of last night. What if the computer was just atoumatically RTTP without Franz knowing and becuase he himself wasn't programmed into the computer like the current CL gang is then he wouldn't remeber the time change. Maybe the date didn't really change but that still doesn't explain how the day number kept changing so i think your guys theories work better. What you you think of the Aelita age thing?

I just mean't do you agree, do you not agree. Do you have a different theory. I dunno i get really serious about this kind of stuff and i guess i kinda over analyze. I just think this topic has already had enough of one sentence "I heart this episode" answers. I can't wait for Season 3 i'll bet its going to rock. The key sure gave me alot to think about until then.

Something that occured to me the other day: If the day she was virtualised was Aelita's first time in the lab, how did Franz make her Battle Profile?

Also, that certain parts would be missing from the virtual model to save memory (and not just Aelita's model)
