That was very sad. And then when Odd was walking to the factory and thinking of warm things, lol.

That was pretty funny. "Ok, Odd, try to think of warm things!"

"Would you care for a stop to the nearest tower, my lady?" (Odd)
"I wouldn't say no to that."(Aelita)

.Even better was Aelita on the Overcycle, creating a ramp and jumping over the scipizoa like Evel Knievel! ...and then landing like Evel Kneivel often did... *ouch*

That was so cool!

...but all of it fades in comparison with Ulrich, crouched over Yumi trapped under the tree, his tears frozen to his face, telling Yumi every reason he can think of for her to fight to stay alive, and finally telling her his ultimate reason... "i need you"

This scene was definitley touching.

Poor Ulrich has enough angst on his shoulders already.

Plus Yumi dying would be entirely too sad. And Ulrich really did his very best to try and save her. XANA just kept throwing him for a loop though. They really portrayed his frustration well in that scene too.

Ack! The frozen tear was so...so...*starts crying again* Poor Ulrich, that was the saddest scene ever!

I agree with you on this. What would have happenned if Yumi died? I'm so happy she lived, Like Icelis(Did I spell that right?) said, it would just add too much to the plot.

It's official. I haven't been this moved by an individual CL episode since "Just In Time". That entire climatic scene was outstanding, and perfectly orchestrated.

I have to give a round of applause for the writers, the animators, the directors, and the voice actors especially for that fantastic scene.

This is one of my favourite episodes of season two. Yumi stuck under the tree is so moving . I watched on the day we first had snow here for 2 years. 10/10.

This ep was great! =D Jim showed his kindness for the first time since Season 1's "Code: Earth". He actually wanted to protect those who were being attacked by XANA. And those winter outfits were great! All the voice actors did a super job! *hugs VAs* And it seemed at first that XANA gave them a gift - the gift of fun. 10/10!

True, Jim is a good man. One thing that always bothered me was that he got his memory erased in False Start. You would think that they would have kept him around given his obvious strength

This episode can always bring out the emotions in me..every time..it never fails, thats why I rate this one off the scale, besides Revelation and The Key...but the first time I saw it I had sworn that yumi died

this is another one of those thought she was dead but she isnt, but almost did die sorta situations...but whats really moving is ulrichs reactions...tears and most of all..his confession that he needs her...that is a tear jerker right there.

Yeah, this is one of the best episodes I've seen. It contains an original plotline where usually CL just copies the plotlines from other episodes.

nah..they wont protest because they will still be recovering from the emotions that this episode brings out...so I dont think there will be a problem there...Cold War officially ranks in my top 5 eps...although they are all good.
