Zex Marquise, the new guy from Eureka Eight

Postby zex marquise » Thu May 31, 2007 6:41 pm

Hello everyone. I am 16 and a guy. I am from Washington, USA. I named myself after Zechs Marquise (Milliardo Peacecraft), the masked anti-hero from Gundam Wing. I am the first moderator on the Eureka Eight fanfic forum, which I earned by being the calm voice of reason and settling a dispute between the members who were mad about one of their own getting kicked off for no reason (later turning out to be a glitch) and the admin, who was away for a week and had no idea what was going on. I just found out about this forum the other day on this hilarious documentary by a member with a charismatic British accent. It sounded like such a wonderful place where we can post together... forever. So I had to join. I am so glad there is a place where I can talk about Code Lyoko with people who understand. I am in the middle of getting ready for the June SAT and writing a proposal letter for an astrophysics project I will be attending this summer at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, so I won't be able to visit here much before I return on the first of July. Please don't deactivate my account. And would one of the higher-ups please email me to let me know the new domain location of Lyoko Freak? I am worried that I am going to try to come here and get a "server not found" error. Thanks. Hello, again, to all you beautiful freaks. May our crazy love for Lyoko and its characters never die.

Odd rocks my socks off. He is one of the most unique characters I have seen in a show.
Jim is funny and lovable.
Ulrich is mopey but I still like him, and he has that sword.
Yumi is cool.
Aelita is sweet and can pull off some killer moves on the hover board.
Jeremie is my hero for being so White and Nerdy and still getting Aelita, proving that nerds, too, can have classy girlfriends.
I love them all! Lyoko forever! Break! Break! Break dance! Ac les relous! Whoo whoo! :music:
My other car is a gundam.

Welcome to the forum. Interesting name there. Does it mean anything in another language?

Enjoy your time here; I'm pretty sure that, since you've already moderated for a forum, you probably understand the rules and don't even have to glance over them. Two things that come to mind, though; refrain from swearing outside of BKO, and place all pictures as links instead of images.

Nice quote, by the way. Enjoy your time.

That guy with the British accent is TB3, one of our Admins around here. Nice chap. As for me, I'm just an older-than-avergae CL fan with a bunch of posts. And a big Gundam Wing fan, as it was my first real fandom I got into. Anyway, make yourself at home here and Enjoy Everything.

It's all very scientifical. |D

Many names in Gundam Wing are plays off of numbers in other languages, from French to Mandarin. Zechs is a play off of sechs, which is German for 6.
*Puts on reading glasses* From Wikipedia:
A Marquess (British English spelling) or Marquis (North American English and the original French spelling) is a nobleman of hereditary rank in various European monarchies and some of their colonies. The term is also used to render equivalent oriental styles as in imperial China and Japan. In the British peerage it ranks below a Duke and above an Earl, on the continent usually equivalent where a cognate title exists. A woman with the rank of Marquess, or the wife of a Marquess, is a Marchioness, (IPA pronunciation: [ˌmɑ(r)ʃə'nɛs]) or Marquise (North American English and the original French spelling).
I'm not sure why his name uses the feminine spelling. But then, in the Japanese version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, at the end when Sephiroth says, "I will never become a memory," he uses the feminine form of self-- 'watashiba'. I guess it takes a real man to refer to their self in the feminine form and still be bad.
