THERE IS FINALLY A LIVE ACTION PREVIEW... in france
But I will show you how to trick the interwebs into being french...

Steps:
1. Download and install Tor Browser Bundle from torproject.org
2. Edit the "torrc" configuration file and find where it says someting along these lines:

Code: Select all

ExitNodes server1, server2, server3
StrictExitNodes 1

and make it look like

Code: Select all

ExitNodes 178.32.211.140, 37.59.124.216, 78.235.18.192, 92.243.9.166
StrictExitNodes 1

(you can add additonal IP's from the attached file for redundancy)
3. Start Tor
4. Browse to http://t.co/F2G2jVtj

While I chuckled with seeing how the show uses a smartphone that was an imitation of a BlackBerry, I don't know if I would really watch Code Lyoko: Evolution. I might sample the first episode just out of curiosity. It feels like something I would avoid... it kinda reminds me of live-action Disney shows (take that as you will).

Mildly curious as to how the Lyoko scenes will be done, though.

I have reservations about Odd in real life, but I think that his voice matches his body much better in Lyoko. I just wanna see where Laura fits in with all of this...

Anyway, I'm actually really excited for watching the clip. Aelita is completely adorable, and Jim is pretty much how I'd imagine him to be in live-action. Special effects are a bit narm-y but I was expecting that.

The cast pretty much meets my expectations. Odd still looks like he's 12, but I agree that his voice fits on Lyoko. It sounds like some typical Odd jokes, so that's good.

After watching those Lyoko scenes, understandable due to budget issues, my interest in this lowered slightly.

The dude playing Jim doesn't seem as fat as the animated one. W/e.

I know that trailers can be tricky(even The Last Airbender looked amazing on a trailer...) but the live-action still looks much better than I expected! Jim is so like Jim... CGI effects in live-action look very fitting. I think they look more impressive than animation on Lyoko, which is a shame. Too low budget, I'm afraid.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more. ;3

The Laura/Skippy pictures start here? Might be being cynical, but wouldn't put it past XANA to try.

The official trailer shows promise, though Gulliver not being dyed blonde still niggles and I'm still not sure the Live-Action can live up to the "Evolution" tag. Still, looking forward to more.

Possibly worth noting you can see the names of who's playing Laura & Jim by pausing the 8-grid in the right place. Not sure why they included them on that grid, since they're not in the rest of the preview (included in a later one, perhaps?)

...possibly, but even so, would have made more sense to leave them off (or at least blur them out or something).

^I agree. I really like both the videos. I'm glad that the characters look like the originals. When I saw the official CL site call for actors, if I can remember correctly, it said that you don't have to look like the main characters. And I got slightly worried that the actors would look nothing like the ones in the animated series. Thank goodness they do.

I'm looking forward to the new season as much as everyone else is, but I really don't know about the live action. I just don't know how well that's gonna fit in. But the preview looks good.

The preview made me feel much better about the live action, but it won't be the same. I just really hope the plot flows in well with the last series, more on Project Carthage would be nice!

Actually, I thought Code Lyoko Evolution was going to suck, but it's actually turning out pretty good. The actors look better than expected and the sets are awesome. I still can't believe it's coming back...

I d'unno, this whole new show can be a pile of garbage and I'm still going to love every second of it.

I can't wait to watch the first episode.
