English trailer

The TV trailer, now with English dubbing!

I'll miss the old voice actors, especially Sharon Mann(Jeremie/Aelita)... but this version sounds pretty neat, I think.

It seems kinda rushed, and I am seriously surprised that a dub as come up so quickly with no hint/mention of it prior to this. It's cool that we're getting a dub and the voices aren't too bad, though I'd still prefer to watch a subbed version.

....I honestly think the voices are terrible save for Jim's and maybe Ulrich's

don't even mind that they're not the originals, they're just... not... good imo

disappointing, really. but I didn't expect much :x

I agree on it being too rushed. I really don't like the voices, especially Odd's. I'll still watch the dubbed version whenever it's released, but I'm looking forward to the subbed version much more.

Hmm... As with everything else I'll need to hear longer voice samples of the dubs before making a decision on whether I like it or not. I do agree, though, it sounded a little rushed.

At least when they sub, they can just transcribe the English instead of directly translating it.

I'm surprised at how under the radar it all was. Who are the American VAs? I know that CN is getting the distribution rights to Evolution (and with their recent fetish towards live action I can't see them dropping it like they did the original CL), but when will it air?

I'm gonna put this on LF's Wiki, okay?

I dont think the voices sound all that bad. Jim's seems a bit off, but otherwise, Im ok with it. I want to see the first episode to really get the feel for it.

Yeah me too. The voices weren't that bad. But still, William's voice near the end...lol no.
But anyways, like some other people said, I'd like to hear more of their english voices before I decide if I like them.

For those who are still mixed about the dub, MoonScoop had this to say:

David DiLorenzo wrote:Hello {SearchingLyoko],

The trailer that was released in English has been provided in order to present the series to an international audience (as the production is in French). There has been no determination on whether or not these voices will be final for an English dubbed version and there are no broadcast plans that I can discuss at this time.

In other words, nothing's final yet.

AWESOME!!!! :)

I was still a tinny bit worried that this wouldn't turn out well, but now I'm really really excited.
The dubbing was pretty good considering these are live actors.

The live action looked great. [Still not sure why they changed went that direction, but . . ]
The actors seem to fit.

Ah, so the voices may not be final for the dub, interesting.

Wow uh, anybody else still hope we get somebody subbing the French version? I'm kind of convinced I'd prefer to read it with naturally spaced French dialogue being spoken than any more of the smashed together English.

CLE's doing that, actually. There was a subbed version of the trailer, but it was clumsily done, so they're redoing it. When the episodes come out, I'm thinking of volunteering as a subber.

Where did that info come from?

Say do we know who the new girl is?
I wonder she will join the team or if they'll do a return to the past and she'll forget everything they told her.

Scroll up to TheTsunamiX's post that says "For those concerned about the dubbing." Read the quote that he quoted in there, and you shall have your answer.

+1 for subbed version. Dubs in anime are ok since mouth movements are pretty simple. There's only small handful of dubs of any kind of real life movie or show that actually seem good.

Doesn't help that I'm one of those people who prefer things in their original language (IE most of my anime and movies like Hero or Downfall). I always think the original language conveys more feeling and is what the director intended vs a dub where its a script read by someone not involved with the production

woah the live action scenes look really bad (why didn't they stick to 2D again?). the 3D animation looks pretty cool though.
