Upcoming Comic/Doujin- Help Needed

Okeee...

I was thinking, after seeing the prequel and the movie 'The Princess Bride' in the same day, that I should do a comic combining the two. I've done some concept art, which I can put up if you want me to.

I have most of the characters set, but I have a bit of a mental dispute.

For those of you that know the movie, you know the lead two, Wesley and Buttercup. I can't decide whether to have Ulrich and Yumi for them, or Jeremie and Aelita. (Whoever isn't them will be Inigo Mantoya, and the one he wants revenge for the death of). While Aelita would be good because of the whole 'princess' deal, Jeremie doesn't equal 'Wesley' to me. And while the Ulrich/Yumi is a good idea...there's just the lure.

I also want to keep within popular pairing choice.

Please help me decide. More in the morning- must get to bed.

If you've never seen the Princess Bride, SEE IT. Great movie. They rerun it all the time. Or get yourself the DVD.

best movie in the world (other than Labyrinth...) That's a cool idea! Personally, since I'm a j/a freak, I'd say them, but I also see where you get that Jeremie isn't exactly sword fighter materal...but Yumi doesn't fit with the whole Princess deal...I still go with j/a, but it's up to you.

Go with J/A (as much as it pains me to send Yumi to her doom like that...*sweatdrop*).

Wesley...in retrospect, really doesn't do a whole lot of fighting in the movie or the book, other than the fight with Inigo and the "wrestling match that really isn't" with Andre. The stuff in the fire swamp is cool, but it's really not him fighting anything (with the exception of the ROUS). He pretty much guides Buttercup through the swamp and plucks her out of danger...which is more or less what he does in the show.

Plus...who else could outwit Vissini?

And because it would be funny to see Jeremie "pwn" Ulrich (Inigo) at his own game...I'd like to see how you'd choreograph that.

Of course, though, the final decision is up to you. ^_^

This is a really awesome idea! I can't wait to see the doujin!

Definitely a cool idea, and I agree with Mew...put J/A as the main, and let the rest fall where they may. Good luck on this.

Actually, I can see Aelita as Manatoya, with Franz as the killed Father. As for narrator and little kid, what about Yumi and Hiroki?

That would work...

But Ulrich has a more developed sense of vengance than Aelita does, more like Mantoya's. And the way I have the plot set, Aelita and Franz as the little kid and grandfather are important to the story.

Kind of.

All in all good ideas, but...I'd still like to use mine. Thanks, though.
