Odd sat in front of the portable screen, his eyes tired, his fingers clicking away at the buttons. "No way, man, no way. He did not just pull that."
Ulrich spun around in his desk, looking at Odd, sitting on his bed, playing his game still. "Odd, I don't care who pulled what, I need some sleep. To do that, I need to finish studying for the math exams - to do that, I need you, and your stupid new game to be quiet!"
"Whoa, whoa, hold up!" Odd shouted.
Ulrich stared at Odd, his eyebrows furrowed. "What?"
"You never, EVER call Metal Gear Solid stupid. In what other games can you eat snakes, or like, shoot people?"
"Mehh. Well you can eat snakes tomorrow."
"No, man, no. I'm just past The Pain. This game is totally cool."
"You'll be in the pain if you don't turn it off and get to sleep."
"Fine," Odd sighed, hitting a buttom before switching off his console. "But never, EVER diss the Metal Gear Solid."
Ulrich rolled his eyes, turning around and writing again as Odd fell asleep, still in his day clothes.

As the sun rose, Odd looked out the window. "Wow, it's a beautiful day not to go to class."
Ulrich raised an eyebrow. "Are you crazy? Jim will go nuts!" Odd smirked, turning away. He opened up the portable PS2.
"Ulrich, pal, you forget something. I've played sneaking games. I know how to sneak away."
"Listen, Odd. I'll just tell Mrs. Hertz you got sick in my shoes... again."
"No need, Ulrich."
"Why?"
"Because I have the skills."
"Yeah, you have the skills of getting arrested for truancy."
Odd smirked walking over to the corner of the room. "Skills are skills."
As Odd sat down, finally ready to play his game, his cellphone buzzed again. "Odd?" A familiar, geeky voice called out. "Odd, Aelita and I need you... bring Ulrich, too. Yumi's already here - something strange is going on with the supercomputer."
Odd sighed, picking up the console again. He snapped his phone shut. "Hey Ulrich, change of plans. You're skipping too."
"Why?"
"Einstein is having computer troubles."
"But the exams are-"
"Pointless," Odd said, pointing to the window. "Now, let's get going."
