The True Apprentice

Postby The BB of C » Wed Feb 01, 2006 5:07 pm

A great war has just passed. The insane Professor Crator, second level commander of the X.A.N.A army, has been nutrilized, and the Earth-Lyoko-Army destroyed X.A.N.A's mainframe. The world was returned to its rightfull owners, and peace has been restored. The reconstruction has begun.
However, in the minds of a few, X.A.N.A must live on. Now, they war amongst themselves over who deserves the title, of 'The true apprentice', and become X.A.N.A's successor.
Blood will be splattered. Lives will be destroyed, and pain, shall come easiest of all.

Cool summary for a story. Now you need to write it and link it to here.

I have a link to it. But we're not allowed to post segments here?

A Summary like the one you posted above is ok. Erynn(Starway) Doesn't want the whole Fan Fic Posted in one post. She wants them linked to a website. Don't ask me how. I don't know any Fan Fiction websites.

Darn, crud, this is going to take a bit of thinking. There are a lot of out of place segments in the linked one because I kept forgetting to put them in. I was really counting on being able to put them here so I could rearrange it back into proper order.
To the thinking room!

Small segments like the one you posted are fine. If you need a place to put your entire fic, though, I would recommend Fanfiction.net. :)

For more details on this, here are the rules for this forum.
Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

I'm sorry, that is much too complicated for me. If you are insistant on not allowing me to post it, this topic is best deleted. There is nothing else I can do.

Getting a fanfiction.net account is too complicated?

What?

There was way too much I had to do to post a segment. And my computer blocked a couple of things which took me a bit of time to get through, and I don't have the patience for it.

You said

"Patience is a key virtue" in another thread....what are you trying to say? lol.

Maybe later, when you are not busy, you would be able to post it.

I have incredible patience for people. I am not as coping with long posting processes. I like forums. *Click-click-click-type-click* And message sent. It's not the same on fanfic.

Dude, do you have an account? Then you don't know. And you write the story on your computer, upload it, and edit and submit it there. Not too hard.

But I would like to point out there's a three day waiting period, which clashes with the two day before locking limit Erynn set. So, hurry!

She's right. It shouldn't be too hard at all, as long as you have it in a single document.

1.) Register (fanfiction.net is good, like Erynn suggested) Not any more difficult than registering for a forum, like here.

[[FF.N makes you wait a while before you can post anything, though. You might as well just forget about it for a couple days, and come back later.]]

2.) Login. Click on Document Manager. Click browse, select the file, upload.

3.) Click on Create A Story. Choose the genre, name it, and post a summary if you wish.

4.) That's it. After you have selected the file that you want to use, and clicked on Create Story, you don't have to do anything else. Adding new chapters is equally simple. Just do the same thing, except click on Chapter Management after you've uploaded.

It's REALLY REALLY simple. They make it mind-numbingly easy, trust me. I'm not trying to say anything, it's just it's surprising that you won't even attempt it. I really want to read your story, too! ^-^

Then there is the process of diabling my computer's blocks which adds about five minutes to the whole proceedure.

Because before we were suceptible to viruses. We got one that caused porn to flood into our computer like water from a broken dam. It took us six weeks to clear everything out. Now we've got the best anti-virus and blockers that we can get. It makes things very difficult at times.
