Just another small update. Ive moved the fic over to my CL minisite (WWW button below, Code:Vchat20 link in sig, or directly to http://wpkr.homeip.net/code_vchat20/). shouldnt be too hard to find, but its located under "Fanfics", and this fic is right on top in fairly large letters. Its also split into separate chapters so to make it easier to read.

...If I may make a small recommendation, though (and please don't take this the wrong way!) I'd change the background to something else. The green doesn't match the rest of your layout.

Aside from that small and irrelevant detail, I really do like it a lot! Maybe I could link back to you...?

was playing around with the design a bit. got a new background which resembles the background on the super comp (under the same clip where I got the inspiration for the window design). let me know what you think. ill be playing around with it a bit more.

I also added a nice little touch to the footer of the page.

oh. on another note, feel free to add the link. ill try and get the links page on my site up later tonight and link back here. the least I could do for probably the best CL site around (id say it surpasses the official site as well, seeing as the technical glitches they keep running into all the time and the forum spam and whatnot )

who knows, this might be a good chance for me to benchmark my connection here at home seeing as thats where the site is hosted (got a fairly fast upload rate of 512kbps. best ive seen except for fios and business class connections).

I finally managed to finish up Chapter 5 tonight. You can, of course, find this on my CL mini-site, or you can also find it on fanfiction.net as I will try to keep the story updated over there as well.

I must say, this is turning into one INTERESTING chapter. Kind of a short synopsis for ya:

Kids go home for the holidays, Chad stays behind at Kadic. suprise snow storm rolls in (ala Cold War). team lyoko has to make it to factory. Chad commandeer's Mr. Delmas's Jeep...

and thats where Im currently sitting at in the writing process.

Most who attempt the script format see it as a way around actually writing. You, though, you managed a professional job of it.

Just don't make it a Mary Sue, okay? Self-inserts are usually bad and the reason most don't like fanfic....

Yeah. Ive seen the whole Mary Sue/Bobby Joe/Uncle Fred thing mentioned elsewhere. Ive constantly been on my toes to try and prevent this. Its proven quite difficult so far. Its better than the first version of the story though. Right into the story I had Chad beating Jeremie by leaps and bounds and giving Aelita her antivirus the first day as well as being the sole warrior on Lyoko during the first battle. Now THAT was very Mary Sue-ish.

Who sez self insertation is bad? I'm working on a fic like that as we move our mouthes and make noise, but my self-insert is an insane little Jeremie-glomping fangirl. Yeah. It's very comedic.

Very nice! I usually don't read scriptfic, as it usually equals bad quality, but this was pretty good.

Generally, self insertion isnt bad if done right. And if you are really good at it (apparently im not ), you can disguise yourself as an ACC and no one is the wiser.

But as bizznot mentioned earlier: self-inserts usually (read: 98% of the time) lead to Mary Sue-ish stories.
