I believe their names are perfect the way they are. Plus, if the writers changed their names, it'd be hard, because We've always known them as the names they have now. So it would make for some confusion.

Thats one of the strangest things I've heard in a while. Like everyone else I think changing the names would be a bad idea but it would be interesting if it did happen. However I feel if they were going to change names they would have done it earlier to prevent change. Why fix something that ain't broke

Hmm, another idea is that if they don't change the names, maybe the characters might call each other nicknames like einstein. Ex. of yumi and aelita talking
"Hmm the nickname princess is so weird for me," Aelita says. "Yeah but I wish I had a nickname," Says Yumi. "Oh? And what would that nickname of yours be?" Aelita giggles. "Maybe Yumisha," Says yumi. "Are you combiding yumi and geisha?" Asks aelita. "NO, yumi and ishyama,"

That's... daft. Nicknames are (I think) supposed to be short and punchy. And at least a little imaginative.

I don't see CL working with nicknames here there and everywhere. Imagine the ruckus it'd make.

'HAY COOLGUY DERS SUM XANA ATTACK'
'WHO U TALKIN TO TOUGHGUY'
'I DUNNO CALL GEISHA-GIRL'
'WHO THE HELLO KITTY IS THAT'
'LMAO WHO CARES MA NAME'S EINSTEIN'
'NO IT INNINT' etc etc. would be the basis of every episode. And my ears would bleed like rivers.

I like the names the way they are. They're all different diversity-wise. There's a German name, a French name, a Japanese name, a unique name and a really weird name. Which I like. <3 'Sides, calling Ulrich 'Hans' would... be very scary.

Personally I think the names should stay as their are .due to the fact that CL would lose it's .The show is popluar at the moment and if you change the name's people may lose intreset as this is a sign of weakness orthe lack of ideas.

So the characters would have Japanese names, I like the idea, but as everyone else is saying, it would be hard to remember those name, we would still be calling Nagi, Odd.
