favorite character?

I'm honestly surprised that we don't have a billion topics here regarding a specific character. As an obsessive fan, I would have been willing to do my part, but I think it would be more efficient to discuss our favorite characters and why we love them so much in a single thread.

I guess my favorite character is Aelita. She is really cute, to get that out of the way, and I sincerely admire her courage, kindness, and nobility even in the face of such cruel adversity. (not to mention her intellectual brilliance) After her, I guess it would be an even tie between Ulrich and Yumi. I like and respect both characters separately, of course, but I really enjoy the fact that even though they're so young, they carry themselves with such dignity and maturity, but they never stop being generally cool and nice.

That's it for my nerd-fest, I guess. Anyone else care to share?

Ulrich Stern, fo sho ! D

Why do I like Ulrich soo much ? Well... Ulrich has such a sweat side to him that he only brings by every once and a while. He's such a cutie when it comes to Yumi. And I find his friendship with Odd pretty cool; Their always funny when their together.
He has such a tough time when it comes to life... Grades, Yumi, his Dad, and yet he still manages to smile. [ Whenever he feels like it. ]

He's an awesome fighter, and just... An awesome character.

What really won me over with Ulrich was in "Routine", when he told Yumi to be careful, even when he was mad at her. He's just a great guy. =]

True that. But I guess that opinions of certain charcthers change throught the seasons. Currently, I despise Ulrich and now by Season 4 I like William. Things used to be the inverse before.

My favorite character is Jeremie. *Gestures to Tech Links username in signature*

I like his incredible intelligence, of course, and his knack for making technobabble seem intelligent. As a watcher of Star Trek, I can respect good technobabble. I also like his bravery, and yes, Jeremie is brave. He fears the Scanners above all and has entered them twice, once to see the girl he loved and once to save his friends, both times he succeeded, which shows that he has a drive to succeed and determination that I also like, he never stopped working on the materialization or anti-virus until he found them (or in the case of the anti-virus, discovered he didn't need one).

Jeremie can also be funny at times, such as him saying that Odd's feet are "like a pile of fresh manure that we just can't seem to get away from" and saying that a solution could be "amputation". I also like the fact that when Jeremie makes mistakes, he won't rest until he has fixed them, even though he doesn't rest much at all. The Marabounta is a fine example.

Also, I too am a rather smart person who doesn't get along much with people outside of my close circle of friends, so I can relate to him.

Coming in second place is a tie for William and Aelita. (Points to signature). And not just because they're attractive. I like Aelita's courage and intelligence, and as for William... everyone likes a bad boy.

My vote goes to Jeremie. Characters like him don't usually have his leader attitude (His speech at the end of The Key comes to mind) nor do they ever get a chance with a girl like Aelita. So he broke a stereotype, the way I see it. That, among other things.
Also he's the character I can relate to the most (not for the reasons above though). Oh and something that kind of relates to this topic, I liked what his evil clone said to him on "Double Trouble", the part that goes, "I'm almost proud to resemble you, I really am". That just tells you a little about what Xana thinks of him, which is cool.
