Pre Lyoko

I wonder just what happened before Code Lyoko? I didn't see the first episode, nor Garage Kids, but I do wonder about some pre-show stuff.

How does Jeremy know about returning to the past not bringing back the dead? It seems like something that would be hard to figure out without Carthage 5 info or experience- I'm wondering if someone died because Yumi and Ulrich couldn't prevent it and still deactivate the tower, as it's not a point brought up often. (Odd didn't join until Episode 1, right?)

Also, how did two martial arts types who are tough, like Yu and Ul, meet up with a guy like Jeremy? Did he discover XANA and then look for people who he figured might "have the moves" or abilities to fight in Lyoko?

I also came up with a theory over Aelita and so on with Hopper (Hauper?), which I'll post later- maybe tomorrow.

we think we should be getting a 45-55 minute prequel to the show some time after the end of S2, but we lack other info than that.

Ah... Well, I can't think of one off the bat, but it's generally accepted by the CL community. I think there was an article or something, though.

Anywho.. I think the gang knew each other before the show started, since it's probably not in the GK continuity. Or maybe Jeremie recieved the distress call from Aelita, and Ulrich, Yumi, and Odd happened to be around and decided to go on an adventure.

Don't worry about the first episode, though. You didn't miss much, pre-show wise. They didn't really explain ANYTHING. It just kinda happened and they vaguely explained it a little more than they would've normally.

Odd joined BEFORE episode one however. He was the one to go to Lyoko. (In Garage Kids, he was a new student and was the last to join)

Jeremie probably has some theories about the RTTP process and how it works, or has figured it out some way or another. (Remember that big notebook with all of Jeremie's stuff in it that Yumi used when she operated the Super Calculator?)

Of course, all we can say now is just speculation. Until the prequel, that is.

Does anyone know when it's supposed to air?? (Sorry, but I've asked this before and I don't remember getting any answers)

All that I've seen is that it's been confirmed for sometime in 2006.

Now, mind you, it is in French, but what it says roughly is that the prequel will be around 45 minutes long and will tell the story of how the gang met and how they found Aelita, XANA and the Factory. It states at the end that it is slated for a release in 2006. LyokoCode gets their information directly from MoonScoop and other reliable sources for the most part, I believe, so this is definitely no joke. I can't wait!
