When someone dies on Lyoko, why don't they go back?
Is it that they can't go back, or is there a time limit?

At first we thought it was related to physical condition, that the body would be tired to go in and be virtualized again, but that couldn't be right. In a few cases, they went despite some injury, like Ulrich in Cruel Dilemma or Odd in Cold War. If you check the "Let's talk tech" thread, our current theory is that after they devirtualize, their avatars are decompiled, so in order to get back into Lyoko, Jeremie would need to recompile their avatars before being able to step back in. Its the same principle as the vehicles, they get destroyed, they need to be recreated. Except the avatars are more complicated and thus take a considerably longer time.
