Did anyone else notice that all of the gang's characters were redrawn? Clothes and everything.

(I do mean the "real world" clothes, of course)

Yeah, I noticed.

The Lyoko Warriors, for example, were upped in physical age, though just a little. (In my eyes, even though they are a year older, they're still children.)

I also noticed something very special about the Lyoko outfits in 2D, too.

I'm fine with Odd and Ulrichs, Yumi's is okay. Aelita...not so much but a little better than Jeremy's...He'd look WAY better in a jacket..

The outfits:

Odd - hoodie over pink shirt with capri-like pants and sneakers.

Improvement: add a bit of length to the pants and make them jeans

Ulrich - the famous short sleeved unbuttoned shirt/long sleeved shirt combination with tight jeans and his white sneakers

Improvement: Possibly a belt; other than that, it's okay

Yumi - a bit skimpy on her old outfit

Improvement: Nothing, possibly some flip-flops, I guess

Aelita - Pink dress-like coat with ugly collar, pink Spandex capris, her boots (looks like she came off the cover of ABC's "The Lexicon of Love")

Improvement: (I'm going to have a field day on this) A long-sleeved pink shirt with buttoned short-sleeved shirt over it, tight blue jeans, and some pink skate shoes...or, if possible, replace the jeans with long shorts and the shoes with pink flip-flops

Jeremy - red sweater, old pants with green stripe in them, blue and white shoes (not Son-Neko-like)

Improvement: None, but make the pants longer. I'm tired of seeing his highwaters. I've seen them for 3 freakin' seasons

Overall, the outfits, except for Ulrich and Yumi's, actually need some tweaking in my mind.

Oh, I forgot to mention... Odd's outfit would have been fine to me... But they gave him those extremely bright red shoes D:
He won't need the scanner to head to Lyoko, he just has to click his heels 3 times (lame joke I know )...

Watching through Maiden voyage again this morning, I finally saw Sissi's new clothes. She actually appears to be wearing something typical, everyday. Quite a change from the girly/prissy fashion she'd been in. The clothes don't quite match the personality anymore, but at least she doesn't look like she's 10 years behind the rest of the world in clothes choice now.

I guess I should weigh in on this and post some pictures to boot (Thanks for the caps again btw, Warton.) (If anybody wanted to throw a shot up of Yumi's new look, it might help btw. Maybe a full body on Odd and Ulrich too.)

You can sort of get a feel for everybody but Yumi here.

My thoughts:
Odd actually looks more relaxed with the new getup while keeping the overworked weirdness level he strives for.
Ulrich of course looks like the mister cool half the fanbase always wanted him to be, has a twing of 'Army surpluss' feel to it.
Yumi I think looked a bit more fassionable and less like a goth wannabe, although the look stayed essentially the same.
I thought Jeremie looked fine orriginally, but then I realised his shirt was brown instead of the dark red I'd seen at first and I lost some respect for the new getup. I still LIKE the gaudy teal stripe on the highwaters though.
Aelita what the heck did you do. Your old getup was so perfect, and this is so... blah. Just wanted to look a little more refugee did you?

My thoughts (cont.):
Wow the new look alone does a lot of work toward making Sissi seem like less of a brat and more human. Doubt their use of her will change any though, but at least she got some fassion sense which she's supposedly had all along.
Herve looks like captain dork of the weenie patrol, but I can't immagine that was anything other than the point. May just be a fuzzy jpg, but he looks like his skin cleared up a bit there.

I think Aelita looks a bit like a refugee of something, maybe Lyoko, but they can't just make her associated with a refugee. She has an individuality. She can wear another outfit (not the "Lexicon of Love"-era outfit or Geddy Lee's daughter's outfit) if she can, so there.

Being able to see Sissy's outfit again, disgusts me. She doesn't look any older. Her shirt is still high, and her capri's? OMG. She actually looks YOUNGER. -___-'

Only Ulrich and Yumi get the nod from me. The rest are horrible, especially Jeremie and Aelita.

I agree with whoever said that Ulrich and Yumi are the only one's who got good outfits.

Odd's WOULD be awesome... But... The shoes. >.>
His pants bothered me at first, but then I figured maybe it's hot out or something.

Aelita's is just... Ugly. I'm slowly getting used to it, but, I like the old jumper better.

And Jeremie's entire outfit is a disaster.

Thank you Sissi for losing that headband. I thought she would never stop wearing that thing.
