I absolutely adore this CD! I've been listening to it like crazy ever since I got it! ^.^ "Sauver le Monde" and "S'envoler" for the win. "Planet Net", "Ouvre les Yeux" and "Technoide" are awesome too! Aww heck...I love them all! XD

They've really been helping me improve my ability to "hear" French...I'm hoping to do some transcriptions and translations of my favorites (possibly the whole album if I can), so that we can...I don't know...hold a sing along or something. X) To be sure, I'd really like to know what exactly is being said in "Ensemble"...because that song sounds so suspiciously romantic. :*D

The CD is very sweet indeed, though I dislike the fact that I was forced to make ten uttery vapid, non-contributing posts to get it. Now I am doubly-sure of my desire to purchase it though. It's just a matter of seeing if I can get a french buddy to get it cheaper than Amazon France (since I find it difficult to read French to know what I'm doing buying from there).

YES! Don't you listen?

This CD is boring...S'Envolver + Planet Net are the only real good songs.

That's how CDs work. There's one or two that are excellent- usually planned to be singles (Planet Net- S'envoler) - the rest are filler (Ovure les Yeux-Bienvenue), and there may be a 'bonus' track at the end (Un Monde Sans Danger).

That said, I completely agree with you. But I also like Ovure les Yeux a lot.

I actually liked all of the songs but two. Bienvenue and Ensemble (it gets some credit for its chorus, but I don't think that's enough) were boring, but Ouvre Les Yeux has personality so I like it. Heck, all of the other songs had some good points that make them worth listening to.

You guys bought the CD or it's avaiable for download somewhere?

I wouldn't pay $28 on Amazon.fr just to get it shipped in my country. If the intro song of CL sucks and I usually mute it, then...

I already brought the CD and I should get it any day when I found you can download it.

It's still nice to own it - I did however do a nice set of high-quality rips - and now you know who I passed them on to ;)

Indeed... now while downloading is considered as piratery, I don't buy CDs with music from people, which to me is much more criminal than downloading music.

Is it really worth to pay $28 for getting the original Code Lyoko CD to your house? I paid $28 for Woodstock 1999, which was kinda regular.

Well my reasoning for making those rips is that not everyone has access to amazon.fr, and Techlinks only makes this availible to REALLY obsessive fans, not the general public, so we're fairly under the radar.

Also the market for the rips is English-speaking, and the CD is marketed for France - we're not stealling from that market because ten posts need to be made to on TL to get access to the rips and I don't see the majority of French fans being able to do that.

Also, these rips are partly my means of making up for further delays in my video - which STILL has not progressed - that expensive computer I brought was delivered broken and still isn't fully fixed, hence the lack of developments.

I'm not sure if that helps all that much, but I can tell you that it's worth every penny. :D

I've listened to the whole album by piratery download. Only 4 songs out of 12 sound good:
Ouvre Les Yeux
Ensemble
Bienvenue
S'envolver

The rest are okay songs or just suck. Not worhty paying $28 for the Code Lyoko CD unless you're extremely obsessed with the show.

While the CL CD isn't that good as the extremely obsessed CL fans consider it... you have Panic! At The Disco as your most favourite band ever. :wag: It's Code Lyoko, you're not going to expect emo punk bands for your taste. Or for my view expect bands like Sex Pistols, Metallica, The Cure, Oasis, Jamiroquai and so on to play a soundtrack for CL. And not because Moonscoop are cheapskates, but those I listed are really expensive for them to afford and I don't think they'll like the CL show.

If that was on the CD... I might thought seriously of buying the Code Lyoko CD.

Planet Net has majorly grown on me (even before I got the high-quality version). The chorus really gets me (as usual, I have nobody to blame but the chorus).

Funny though that you like two of the songs I dislike. Rodéo is probably my favorite song other than Planet Net and S'envoler. S'en Aller's beggining is, however "totally sweet" in the fullest realultimatepower.net sense of the expression. Like I said though, I think they're all worth listening to except Bienvenue and possibly La Tribu (no accounting for taste, eh? :D ) and several are fighting for the title of "#2 non-Planet Net, non-S'envoler" song.

I'm weird with music though. Yeah, most people would have to answer the "what kind of music do you like?" question with a "a little bit of everything, I guess." Me? I take that to even more of an extreme.
