Usually, studios work on multiple episodes at once. Maybe the scripts are written sequentially, but after that, you can split the work easily.

For instance, if I recall right, TB3 said they were recording voices for two episodes the day he was there.


Anyway, even if the story had nothing to do with Lyoko and Carthage, I'd take anything in the same universe, so long as there's reason for somebody to shout "Virtualization!".

Just to clarify again, LyokoCode's info is real and accurate (99.9% of the time, it is). However, it only states that a season 5 is possible, but not confirmed. It does however, have financial backing from France 3 now, should it happen to be made.

It's up to MoonScoop and CL's creative team really whether or not we actually get one.

As for my own personal thoughts on this...a new storyline with new characters could be interesting and a lot of fun, however I do fear that it wouldn't have the same feel and quality as the original (seeing as how these characters have existed since 2000 ^^ ). I just wouldn't want to see CL's solid and successful run end due to a season that wasn't always intended (or worse yet, forced). ^^;

It could be fun though.

The problem with a fifth season with new characters and a new story is that it may end up totally resembling bad fanfics. OC's dominate a lot of CL fics, and seeing a whole new batch of characters up there would seem that way to me.

Hmm, remember, that a fifth Season need not necessarily revolve around a new set of characters - it's been pretty much confirmed that Kadic goes all the way up to a college-level-institution, so the kids are going to be together as a group for several years yet - the main problem is delivering a sufficiently suitable plot and villain.

From a Romance plot standpoint, that might give them a reason to have UxY linger on...OH NOES! Seriously, Just get on with it and say you love each other! yeesh...

If the writers get it all together, they can have UxY be the struggles they face as a couple, with JxA being perfectly perfect, calling each other "sweetie" and such, and Maybe some OxSi, because it would be stupid to rush it this late in the season.

From an action standpoint, Older warriors = Awesomeness. It would give the Team a chance fr more skill to be shown, and awesome fights oould be aplenty.

From a Jumping the Shark Standpoint, that might happen...Nah.

No relationship is perfect. I've been wondering for a while what it would take to break JxA apart, partly because they're a little too perfect to be entirely believeable.

Thats why they hammer that d*mn B plot with Jeremie not caring about her music into the ground so repetedly. I don't think they've ever worked out anything else for them to fight over.

I hate to say it, but I don't think this particular writing staff shouldn't try to write any other relationships, and maybe they know it too: UxY hasn't evolved one bit over 3 seasons and they havn't even tried to put Odd with anybody for more than half an episode. (Arguments for Sam and Sissi go here, but really, they won't do either I think.)

That said, if they did one of these things, (Make JxA seem more real, Evolve UxY, do in an interesting way OxAnybody-serious,) and did it RIGHT I would like it quite a bit.

Possible a stupid comment on Jeremie's part, or Aelita insulting Jeremie while he's tired, or such.

What I meant was an affectionate couple that didn't reveal any relationship trouble to anybody at a casual glance.

It's that's the case, TB3, then why are the attendants going to the school so young? I'm not saying that to criticize the academy or anything, but in S1 the school was clearly referred to as "Kadic Junior High School", not necessarily "Kadic Academy".

^^; "Academy" is just another fancy name for school (private schools, in particular, like to use it a lot). There is no set age range for an "academy".

Heck, I went to an "academy", and they taught students from Pre-K straight on through to their senior year of highschool.

It's certainly not unbelievable that the kids could be so young and attending an academy, since, again, as I said, academy's can and do teach all ages.


At any rate, the only trouble regarding the cast of characters that we know (Jeremie, Aelita, Ulrich, etc.), is that way back when season 4 first started (or was about to come out...I forget the exact date), was that Ms. Sophie Decroisette said that season 4 would wrap up the the storyline for these characters and that a new season would likely feature new characters and a completely new story.

I don't see why. Wouldn't rescuing William at the end of the season be even more cliched? At least if he stays with Xana, William gets to keep his recurring villian status. I do think it's time he got himself a partner, though. Sissi? Jim? Hiroki? All three?

Still, William will likely be saved- S4 is supposed to end the story, and having XANA alive and William still captured would really be a downer ending. (Granted, S2 & S3 were both downers as well, but they were not the end of the story.)

Season 5 is going too far if they do make it with new characters and a new plot.

Season 4 should stop the series and the series would be popular forever and always.

I just hope, if Season 5 is made, that it is just set from 1974-1994 with Project Carthage, Waldo Schaeffer, Antea Hopper and why she was kidnapped, Franz, and Aelita...possibly some siblings that forgot about her.
