Hope no-one minds if I copy this over from the locked thread...

This is a new character that will appear in a future episode. I won't give too much away about the situation she will be in with one of the existing characters, but from what I can gather she is from Iceland and has a beautiful body and face.

Carth wrote:I personally think she's like a personification of all those new-girl-goes-to-kadic fanfictions. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't even have a name at all. I can't imagine her personality from the CL.fr summary, but i'm betting she's going to be something like Sissi^2. Except...she's actually wearing a longish skirt. That's a bit of a change from Kadic policy.

Just finished watching the French version...sounds like it's either "Bringa" or "Inga".

<snip>

Carth has more or less hit the nail on the head character-wise (and possibly inspiration-wise too *snickers* ). She's Sissi's penpal, who Sissi invited over only to...well, you guys'll find out. ;D

...And I absolutely would not doubt that she was inspired by every single Mary-Sue in those "New Girl comes to Kadic" fanfics. *snerks* Not only is she in-episode described as "amazingly pretty", every boy wants to date her (another Mary-Sue constant)...and she even ends up being taken to the Fact-...Ooo, I'm saying too much.

Suffice to say, it's a very good episode. *nods* ...Total filler, but very amusing nonetheless. ^^

If I'm reading the French episode summary correctly, this girl is taken to the factory, is shown the supercomputer, and is then DRIVEN OUT OF KADIC BY SISSI WITHOUT A RETURN TO THE PAST!

Heh...really though, who's going to believe her, and not figure she's either making it up...or is nuts?

Plus, apparently she can "keep secrets", so if she's not lying, that'll be helpful.

If she happens to run into someone from or somehow involved with Project Carthage...they're in a bit of trouble. ^^;

My thoughts exactly - the thing is, I can't believe the writers would just break the convention of RTTP'ing to erase the memories of a witness just for the fun of it - surely this decision will have consequences, or a reason in the greater scheme of things - maybe, maybe.

And er, is it me or was Sissi surprisingly...uh...mature today (aside from going all weepy over Romeo & Juliet) - she didn't even react that heavily even when Herve and Nick ignore her, and at the end of the episode she's standing quietly by next to the group - is this some massive personality change in Sissi or did the planets all line up?

Well... based on Episode 81, there's more than 1 Replikas... and based on the few I saw from Superstition, it seems that there's a jungle zone again (like the one in Episodes 78 and 79). Based on the looks from it, there's like 4 or 5 Replikas (5 if Xana created a Replika out of Sector 5) to destroy by accesing the Jungle zone.

Spoiler Alert:

The one in "Superstition" is the same one as "A Lack of Goodwill". That's the episode they destroy that Replika in. *nods*

The other replikas have yet to be revealed in the French episodes, thus far. ^^

Ah, it's an Odd thing. Figures. Truly, though, this sounds like it's going to be very consequential. I wonder why they didn't activate a Return to the Past, though?

It doesn't matter. If Bruynja were to become a Warrior, she would need a lot of combat practice. Any of the children would need it.

Look at what happened to William. He didn't get combat practice and he became pwned into Xana's slave. When will Jesus set him free? Will Jesus ever kill XANA?

Hmm - Jeremie really should try virtualising a flask of Holy Water onto Lyoko just to see if it has any effect on William.

Possible Outcomes:

A:
(throws Holy Water)
WILLIAM: IT BUUUUUUUUUUURNS US! TAKES IT OFF US!

B:
(throws Holy Water)
WILLIAM (licking lips): Mmm, divine (stabs Aelita with sword)

C:
(throws Holy Water)
WILLIAM: (has a fit and turns into Michael Jackson, and gets down with the Kankrelats dancing to 'Thriller' - I would SO pay to see that!)

Please Debate XD

As far as I can tell, the group decided this girl can keep a secret - there was a three-way argument between her, Odd, Ulrich&Yumi and I honestly don't know how it ended - it's a curious turn of events though.

The arguement was something to the extent of Ulrich and Yumi chewing Odd out for bringing the new girl to the Factory. The new girl gets a little insulted and insists that she can keep both secrets and promises (I think...I might be paraphrasing), but Ulrich and Yumi are still skeptical, to say the least.

The new girl is still feeling rather insulted by this whole thing (especially since technically, she doesn't even know where this computer is, thanks to the blindfold, or the extent of what it can do), so she decides to leave and asks Odd if he's coming with her. Ulrich and Yumi have already told him he's needed at the Factory, but Odd decides to leave with his latest girlfriend instead.

She then leaves when Sissi more or less "deports" her back to Iceland, so that she can have the spotlight again. ^^;

Again, I'm figuring they don't RTTP because she's going all the way back to Iceland, and because they're taking her words at face value (not everyone is an open book secret-wise after all). Even if she does happen to run into someone connected with Project Carthage all the way up in Iceland...if she really does hold to her promise of keeping secrets...who's to know?

While it is nice to see the gang not-so trigger-happy with the RTTP Key, I still maintain (Iceland or not) that there's going to be a backwash from this - the very idea of bringing in Sissi's friend seems contrived to say the least for a simple 25 minutes of filler, unless there's a reason.

My thoughts are either:

A: That this girl will return at some point
B: That through her unknown enemies (Project Carthage perhaps) will be able to get to the team
C: That she sets a precedent that the gang brings up next time they're debating whether or not to erase memories with an RTTP

This whole incident is...well way more than curious - it's rip-brain-out-and-scrub-with-soap intriguing! XD

The latest episode (Kiwi Superstar) has aired in France - looks like filler, and seems to be a mix of 'The Robots', 'Attack of the Zombies' and any episode involving Kiwi.

Looking at cl.fr's gallery, my guess is Odd tries to hide Kiwi temporarily in the factory, and for one reason or another, XANA creates an army of robotic Kiwis and most of the school ends up beseiged by the robotic diggedy-dogs in the locker room with Jim.

On the plus side, we have Navskid action in the Network (does happy dance)

I've seen Episode 84. From what I've seen, it's a filler with XANA taking over a military airplane (with Jeremie inside, J got a letter which earned him the plane ride thanks to Odd) and trying to destroy the factory. Am I right?

So, I was thinking. Franz's idea was to remain on Lyoko, no matter what, right? Xana's aim was to disrupt enemy communication. Not kill the enemy outright. After seeing "A lack of Goodwill," apparently Xana's AI personality includes programming to protect his master, which in this case is Franz. So maybe Xana's programming never went haywire? Maybe he perceives that the gang is trying to liberate Franz from Lyoko, and Xana is trying to disrupt their communication to Lyoko, without killing them. We all know how easy it would be to slit their throat in the middle of the night. =/
Furthermore, Franz wanted Aelita with him. Maybe Xana is trying to fulfill that waish, thinking that if residing in the Digital Sea didn't kill Franz, it wouldn't kill Aelita. Maybe he's trying to save her from the perceived enemy. O_O

That's one way of seeing it... or... which I find more likey, it all comes down to CL being a kids show. So the gore and violence of slitting throats would be unacceptable. Also, I don't think Xana has any trouble with killing anyone of them. "Ghost Channel" comes to mind. Xana: "You are going to die *evil laughter*" Or "The Key" where he left Aelita for dead until Franz Hopper came to her rescue.

Yes, it is the censor's fault, but we still have to take it into account. And a good point about Ghost Channel. My best guess is that maybe Xana's AI had been programed for improvisation in certain situations, which theoretically can lead to basic emotions, mainly anger. :cussout: But, ya never know... ^^

He's certainly got anger down pat.

Now, spoilermonkey that I am, (if you are not, stop reading here) I'm kinda curious about the next two titles that have been released to France but not aired- "Cousins Ennemis" and "Il est Sensé d'être Insensé". The first is pretty straightforward- it confirms that the spoiler list we heard early on was completely right. :D Remember, ol Jer's cousin? This one's going to be a killer. :P

The second's only source is Wikipedia, so we can't be sure if it's right...not even the French are sure. Still, it made no sense, until I remembered a season 2 episode where William said something like "being sensible is just not sensible", and Yumi commented that it was a Subdigitals line. (Okay, you know what she really said, but :nyeh!: ) So I looked up the French ep on CL.fr...and what he said in the French was almost exactly the same as this title, except with "C'est" instead of "Il est", and those pretty much mean the same thing, I think (It's, it is). And what I can infer from that slop is that it'll be either a Subdigitals episode, or at the very least a darn good one, if it's real.

We need a spoiler thread.

Yes, I can confirm that 'being sensible is just not sensible' is a line from the Subdigitals - it appears in 'Break Away', the classic end credits song. Kudoes to whoever made sure that line got into the song :)

On the subject of music, I have a small announcement to make. I just got off the phone from Herman Martin and he says that today Serge has been setting the music to the last episode of Season 4, and that this will mark the end of the CL era for them, because even if there is a fifth season, it's unlikely that they'll be part of it.

So, with that said, I'd like to commemorate Code Lyoko's score composers:

Herman Martin
and
Serge Tavitian

Code: Lyoko

Seasons 1-4, 2003-2007

Thanks guys :)
