Hey, he does look pretty Irish- with the pale skin and all. I just hope they didn't give him a really heavy Irish accent. o_o No offense to really heavy Irish accent havers. He's still very hawt though. Almost up to Willie in my book. Almost.

Well, for the French, anyway. For us, it's eleven.

I kind of thought of Medusa, as well. Then I thought of the Schyphozoa, who is the character that comes to mind when one connects Medusa with Code Lyoko.

Médusée...what does it mean. I ran it through Babelfish and it stayed the same. I ran it through Wikitionary and didn't find anything (though in Italian and Spanish, "medusa" means "jellyfish"). I ran it through the French Wikitonary, and it says it's the "Féminin singulier de médusé" as a noun (with no clue as to what "médusé" means), and the feminine singular of "medusér", a verb, which means "Frapper de stupeur". That means, according to Babelfish, "to strike stupor".

...anyone make sense out of that?

That's a pretty odd translation, 'to strike stupor'. Well stupor means 'a state in which the mind and senses are dull; partial or complete loss of sensibility, as from the use of a narcotic or from shock' or 'mental or moral dullness or apathy'

Yes I have my dictionary out, but the definition makes me think the episode might be about William. Maybe Jeremie finally gets his program to work (or not and I'm shoot at thin air.)

Seriously, I just looked up meduse over at Wikipedia and came up with... an asteroid, a battle (I think), two movies (again, I think), a jellyfish, and Medusa.

Probably is the Scyphozoa. But if meduse is the singular of medusee and Medusee is the title, could it be hinting to more than one Scyphozoa here??? Or maybe they're just playing us...

Would be cool if it is about William.

In the most recent english ep, Jeremie gave the latitude, longitude and bearing of the jet he was in - I input the co-ordinates (N 47 43' 13", E 01 34' 45") into a website and they lie directly on a line connecting Moonscoop's Paris headquarters and Antefilms studios in Angloueme

Here's an annotated map as an illustration

The bearing is wrong though - the vague North-North-East heading given does take us to Paris, but the official bearing Jeremie gives is 42 degrees, which puts him several miles west of Paris - by inputting Jeremie's co-ordinates and those of the factory (N48 49' 30", E 02 13' 50") the bearing between them is 21 Degrees - Moonscoop overshot by an exact double of the correct figure...curious...

On another note, Aelita said the jet would be in firing range in 15 minutes, and the jet itself had reached the factory by the stated time, giving a speed of about 400mph.

NB: Later when the missile fired, the jet was on a north-westerly course, presumably because of the dogfighting - correctly the missile then began turning back towards a north-easterly heading.

NBB: Just before crashing, the HDD in the lab showed the jet to be coming in from central Paris on a west-south-west bearing - wtf up with that? (shrugs)

Hmm, curious - and yes, XANA needed to put that jet to better use - I mean, he actually owes Jeremie for talking the staff out of a retaliation, why didn't he try and take out the pursuing jet - and if he can over-ride the non-electronic, manually operated eject system, why couldn't he knock out the communications which are part of the jet's electrical systems?

Also, XANA - next time you want to crash a plane, you don't need to use mystical lightening bolts to electrically short out the engines, you just need to REDUCE THE THROTTLE TO ZERO!

I mean, seriously, this is perhaps the most effective, straightforward and simple plan XANA's ever come up with, and he messes it up in the following ways:

A: WRONG TIME!
Why launch this attack on the exact day where your enemy is in a position to stop you in person - he didn't even try to delay/hinder the kids by waiting till they were in class before launching the attack - why not do it in the middle of the night when the kids are more likely to not react in time

B: CHRONIC JET ABUSE
As detailed above - XANA, this is a warplane - it is fast, it is deadly, it has weapons for a reason - it also happens to be ARMED AND COMBAT READY - why not even try to take out the other jet pursuing you.

I mean, XANA took a device designed for the express purpose of killing people and FAILED TO PUT IT TO THAT USE! It's like being given a gun and not even being able to figure out how to fire it!

In fact, if XANA had started firing off weapons left right and center at random targets it would be a victory - even if the kids RTTP there would be a massive death-toll that would totally demoralize them - XANA is like a wanna-be conqueror who can't even work out how to draw the sword from the scabbard.

C: BAD DEFENSE!
XANA's defense on Lyoko was genuinely horrendous this time - oh yeah, a few Krabes and William - if Aelita hadn't been lying around unconscious this episode would have ended five minutes before it did, XANA was that bad today.

D: HE DIDN'T FOLLOW IT UP!
This plan is a genuine winner - why XANA, oh why, haven't you tried this before!? How difficult is it to possess and crash a plane - what, giant teddybears, ooze monsters and zombie-spawning dogbites are OK but exploiting the warmongering nature of humanity isn't - I mean, even if he didn't use warplanes this plan could work easily and with the minimum amount of fuss - Kadic is within ten miles of two international airports - why not activate a tower, take control of a 747 about to land or take off, and ram it into the school/factory - it would all happen far too quick to counterattack, and you WIN!

XANA, you are a STUPID MORON!

Don't forget, XANA's running on Rita Repulsa Syndrome: Earth Attacks are often based off what's currently going on in the kids lives. As for shutting down the jet: Well yes, but what fun would that be?

It is strange that he hasn't tried to be more bloodthirty though. Maybe he's just keeping focus on the kids (and likes playing with them, so he doesn't make things too hard for them (Again, where's the fun in that?).

Maybe, because he IS a computer program, He's being too narrow minded about his mission to kill the Gang and/or is too afraid of them at this point to stop focusing on them. Or maybe the writers didn't want the Attack to be too hard for the kids. Or maybe Franz is starting to activley hinder him. or maybe I need to drink less Pepsi before bed.

Well, there is one point about the whole jet thing. XANA wanted to wait for Jeremie to get inside so that he could take out the factor (with Aelita, Ulrich, Yumi, and Odd still in it), as well as Jeremie, all at the same time. Two birds with one stone. Destroy the supercomputer and the kids, and also take down Jeremie, the operator, but whom could always go and fight on his own if need-be. If XANA did it while they were asleep, the factory is gone, but he still has the five of them that know about his plans and may try and find another way to beat him (perhaps trying to locate one of those replicas?).

Aelita's first concert with the Subdigitals is coming up, but Aelita's stage fright threatens to get the better of her. Odd meanwhile, has to find an extra ticket so he can bring a date. When the concert finally starts, Xana attacks and kidnaps Aelita.

90 - "Wrong Exposure" / Médusée
Aelita finds a photo of herself with Franz Hopper at the Hermitage, with a mathematical equation in the background. As Jeremie works to figure out the equation, Sissi gets her hands on the picture and shows it to her father, raising many questions about Aelita's family.
