Blame some of the new recruits that they hired to the writing staff. I enjoyed five well-written episodes out of the thirty that have aired.

MakeYourself85 wrote:I really don't want a 5th season. The ending is decent enough to end the whole series. I didn't like Season 3 and 4 that much (4 was an okay season, not that bad like S3)... I had to force myself at times to watch Code Lyoko, thing that didn't happened with the first two seasons. As the last two season went on, to some people it was great, to me it just wasn't great anymore. I just kept watching the show just to see how it ends. And if at 4 seasons it's over, let it die there. I'm tired of watching the show getting b*stardized like in S3 and S4.

I hate to say it, but I'm REALLY disappointed in the second to last episode... so Franz scarifies himself to wipe out XANA in ONE episode..... really anti-climatic... I was hoping for a battle against the Colossus, where they had to attack all the 'eyes' at the same time but still had to deal with XANA and it would be resolved in a two-parter ending episode. Plus William being possessed by XANA again made me think "oh c'mon.... we just freed the guy, couldn't he just be allowed to fight WITH the group against the evil that made him his puppet?
I also didn't like that William wasn't included in the last episode where the group reflects over everything... Not to mention we learn NOTHING about the past or where in the world Aelita's mother is.... so very.... disappointed
If there's a fifth season... well I hope they handle the end better then S4... I really was expecting SO much more.

Yes, season 4 has "ended" and the current storyline has been "wrapped up". However, there are still plenty of other ways for CL to live on (as TB3 and many other fans have expressed), and there is no need to be so pessimistic about it.

I suppose I'm the only one who saw the whole Franz Hopper/William plot points coming? ...And was cool with them?
Eh...
*blinks* William is in the last episode. He and Yumi have a scene together. LyokoCode has screens of it...
...If you're complaining that he doesn't share in the flashbacks...um, what flashbacks would he be able to have, beyond what was shown in "The Lake"? *sweatdrops*
