I doubt it's about the scanners. Jeremie had to use them on himself after XANA Awakens, in New Frontier, and in Ghost Channel. And he still got possessed in Mister Puck.

It seems to be the more one fights against XANA, the greater the immunity to him. And on the flipside, the more one fights with XANA, the more susceptible a person becomes to possession. I heard that was one of the reasons the gang didn't want William to go into Lyoko in the episode. Don't chance letting XANA get his next-to-strongest warrior again.

Regarding Hopper, you're talking about his death, which was as predictable as Harry Potter being a Horcrux. But about William, what do you mean? Him getting posessed by XANA one more time or the events regarding the last episode?

Him being re-possessed by XANA mostly, as well as the final showdown between himself, Yumi, and Ulrich. Both of which I have been rooting for throughout the entire season. ^^

Which is why, as I've been saying, I liked the final two episodes of season 4. Can't wait to hear the actual banter exchanged in english. :D

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that William wasn't as "cleansed" of XANA as they thought he was in "Down to Earth". Most likely, a tiny piece of XANA still remained in him, small enough for him not to be aware of it, and to even overshadow while XANA was inactive, but enough to become a serious problem when XANA went on the attack again.

It's not so far out a theory either, particularly when one considers how many Replikas XANA had in his possession. Granted, the one they destroyed might have contained the majority of XANA's power over William, but there's nothing that says he couldn't have hidden a small percentage in another Replika...just in case this happened. ^^

Yeah, and how many Replika's were left? This is far from over.

Yeah, and how many Replika's were left?

None, XANA used them all up in order to create Colossus in episode 92.

Two Episodes of CL this Saturday

Postby Mewberries151 » Fri Nov 16, 2007 1:42 am

Just on a schedule-wise note for CL...this weekend holds a special treat.

We will get not one, but <b>two</b> new episodes of Code Lyoko this Saturday, starting at 11 AM EST and playing until noon.

The episodes aired will be "Space Oddity" (aka "Planete Bleue"), and "Cousins Once Removed" (aka "Cousins Ennemis").

I'm not sure if CN intends to continue to air CL episodes in twos like this (as the schedule only goes up to the 23rd for me), but it's awesome all the same. :D

But all the supercomputers are still able to function, right? All it'll take is one supercomputer getting rebooted...

Yes, the supercomputers are still there and can be rebooted, but they'll be nothing more than empty shells. All the Replikas and Replika data they held was destroyed by Jeremie's program. Only someone very smart in areas of data recovery could revive them, but even then, they'd actually have to know what they're looking for and understand what they found.

A simple hard-shutdown would solve that. All it would take would be one Replika to hastily shut itself off before Jeremie's program got at it.

Oooo, didn't think of that! Actually, it's the most plausible way I heard of for a Replika revival, and even Jeremie's program missing a part of XANA.

XANA actually swallowed his pride to the fact that he could be killed, and left a piece inside the Replika that was turned off. Just like Lyoko was, the Replika would be hibernating, cut off from the network for the time being with XANA sleeping inside. Until some unfortunate soul does the same thing Jeremie did that fateful day. Wonders in an old abandoned military base (*snickers* I wonder how many of those are around the world) and turns on the supercomputer. If XANA can kill anyone involved in the Replika's revival, he'd remain a secret threat to the world and can rebuild his old strength. Or he fails doing that, and the MIB become alert to him in the shadows and may later get involved...

Now how the old gang finds out and gets involved is a different story. I honestly don't believe there's a convenient/plausible way for them to suddenly realize they didn't completely succeed in killing XANA and turn Lyoko back on, whether it's a short or a long time from their final battle. Which is why it's great for a new gang to come in a few years later, so the old gang can't quickly catch on and stop them from using the supercomputer.

Imagine these new group of friends bored, wander into the factory, play around with all the dangerous equipment to kill time, and stumble on the supercomputer. Course, there has to be a nerd somewhere, either a part or will join soon (I don't care if it's Herve's little sibling, a nerd is required!). Anyway, curiosity overcomes them and they turn it on. Entering through the scanners (I'm guessing the first person goes on a dare lol), they see it no different than a video game, and spending much of their free time afterwards playing, fighting each other, and exploring this unknown world. A great way to dive in and explore the past, liking Project Carthage, IMO.

Then at some point, XANA feels strong enough to rear his ugly head, and things become serious. And the old gang would return to investigate the incidences of RTTPs (imagine the shock of suddenly having a return trip after, say, two years :*D ).

...Sorry, didn't mean to type that much. Once I'm on a roll, the words spill out. >_>

Couple of dozen Hornets would do the trick. No-one ever said the way they found out had to be subtle...

And that, my dear, is what the RTTP and a tragic lack of remaining screen-time is for.

Ummm...Taelia...where are you getting your information from? Because wherever it is...you need to stop going there, because they're misleading you. ^^;

Mr. Delmas does not want the kids in prison anywhere at all in "Echoes". ...In fact...he has next to no contact with any of the kids in that episode at all.

He does however, consider taking Sissi to get some mental counciling, as Nicholas (in a brilliant move on his part), tries to excuse her from class by saying she's been seeing aliens. Later, when she starts going on about the Factory, he (understandably) doesn't believe her, and heads off with her to the councelor's office.

This is all RTTP-ed away at the end of the episode anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Might I recommend that you check and double-check your facts before posting them in the future? ^^;;;

SPOILERS

I just saw a subbed Lab Rat . Wow, a grreat eppy! It explains Bragging rights and for Distant Memory, it shows where Ulrich learned Japanese customs relating to gifts. The scene where William deactivated Jer's tower was something to see. That has to be the coolest Official remix of any musical score. And stuff.

It was a mistake. Plus, some dude decided to translate Odd's line in the lunchroom, causing CN to skip that episode. Somebody's gotta get a C-band satellite (you know, the big ones owned by Scientific Atlanta) and hack CN's signal like that guy dressed up like Max Headroom did in '87 and like that guy did to HBO in '86 during some serious movie. They should air that episode during the time they hacked and people will know our problem.

I don't really mean it. It was a joke, but CN has to air it one day. I wonder: did the VAs do voicework on that episode yet?

I thought we've established that CN did not skip it due to a translation error - that was just a myth propagated on TV Tome.

The translation of the English dub is done by the voice director himself, Allen Wenger (Delmas), with input from Jerome. After umpteen years translating CL, I refuse to believe that Allan would do something that would get an episode culled.

Other members have pointed out that this skipped episode occurred right after CL changed it's timeslot, which suggests it was more of a mistake than a conscious decision to pull it.
