Seriously, though, Antea got about 15 minutes of total combined screentime. They gave us just enough to say that she was probably detained for questioning/blackjack and jailed. Sometimes the unknown is better than actually knowing the whole story, but it seems like such a big gaping sideplothole that needs to be filled.

Actually, just as a general plea, could you guys discuss season 5 (and CL) with a bit more...reverence?

Honestly, all of this "dead" talk is ridiculous. Even if the series has "ended" it still lives on in our hearts. There's fanfiction, fanart, basically any sort of fan creation that it can live on in, and as TB3 reported (and as that LyokoCode news item even states) there will likely be some future canon outlets for Code Lyoko.

In fact, LyokoCode mentioned one in a news item just below the "bad news" about season 5.

Saying that Code Lyoko is "dead" is a misconception, as, like I said, it lives on with us. In addition to that, I'd also like the "VAs/directors/writers being fired" talk to stop, as we all know it isn't true. Their contracts merely expired. That is completely different from being fired, and at any rate I think we should be focusing on the amazing job they did and the beautiful little show they bestowed upon us (yes, bestowed), instead of yelling at them for not carrying it on as long as "we" wanted them to.

This is not to say that being sad about Code Lyoko ending isn't cool. Because that's not the case at all. I'm sad to see the show end, but also glad at the same point that it went out on a brilliantly high note with an amazingly beautiful final battle and epilogue.

...Just...don't go overboard, guys. ^^;;;

I'm with Mew here - the higher-ups at Moonscoop would be crazy to end CL, since it's their cash-cow. I've suspected for some time that Moonscoop's success, developing from Antefilms to it's current monolithic status, is entirely due to CL, and Herman confirmed it on the phone with me.

And that girl I talked to seemed fairly confident that CL will carry on in one format or another, so bewailing that 'IT'S DEAD' is the completely wrong attitude to take.

I agree. There could be a hilarious amount of ways CL can still continue in the future....literally . Because, no matter what, can we honestly prove Xana didn't make a backup copy of himself somewhere that WASNT accessable by the internet? And yeah, Code Lyoko IS Moonscoops main show. It would be, in all honesty, stupid to stop the show.

Based on what I could read from some article at LyokoCode:
-Sophie Decroisette said that Season 4 marks the end of the Code Lyoko series. No current plans for a 5th season.
-There might be one or two episode regarding the past of the Carthage project (Waldo Schaeffer and Franz Hopper), but that's it.

And I know that many people want a 5th season, others wanted it to end at 4 or 5 and that's pushing it... but somebody at LyokoCode expected that CL should have 10 seasons, that's just overkill.


Let's face it: Code Lyoko is a very big successful show in France for the most part. It can't be said the same in the USA. It's not a big draw against Avatar, SpongeBob, High School Musical, Fairy Oddparents, etc.

Let's face it: Code Lyoko is a very big successful show in France for the most part. It can't be said the same in the USA. It's not a big draw against Avatar, SpongeBob, High School Musical, Fairy Oddparents, etc.

I beg to differ on that, Rodri. Almost all of the friends I have that AREN'T in my high school like the show.(And I'm talking about real life friends.) Code Lyoko HAS gotten a lot popular, and lets face it; comparing this show to FOP or SpongebobIdioticpants is unfair to Code Lyoko. Both of those right there are horrid.

As for about a 5th season, I will agree to a certain extent. The show's ending at a good ending, but a Season 5 would work and WOULD be nice. And, like I said before, Moonscoop would be a huge band of idiots if they completely stop the show now.

Still, doesn't take away the fact that they're by far more popular than Code Lyoko and has better ratings than Code Lyoko worldwide. Travel outside the USA (France doesn't count) and ask any random person about CL and S-Bob. Odds are that SpongeBob is widely more popular than CL. Hell, even Kevin Federline is more known than Code Lyoko.
Proof: if I mention CL around my friends, they'll ask "what is that?". That doesn't happen with SpongeBob or Avatar.

Why would Moonscoop be labeled as idiots/morons/*insert insult of choice* for ending the series? If anything, it's better to end it at 4 season than making it go stale, and more stale than Season 3 was. But then again, this forum (among other forums) are proof that Moonscoop can feed them garbage episodes and they still love CL to death.

Simple. It's their main money source right now, I can almost garentte(I cant remeber how to spell that x.x) that. And, in all reality near my house, FOP and Spongedude arent that popular around here. So that doesn't work here.

See, here's the problem with what you said. YOU think that the episodes are garbage. Not everyone else does, so don't try talking for all of them. The only garbage ones I've seen are Replika and Kadic Bombshell.
