Sorry to go a little off topic but I am actually NOT a fan of Sasuke for just that reason. x3 He is the one character in that show that ANNOYS me.

... ;__;

Ulrich I don't think is so much as mysterious is that...huh. I don't know, all of the characters in Code Lyoko seem human but he seems almost a little moreso to me. Like...I can relate better to him. Aelita doesn't seem human on occasion for obvious reasons. Jeremy doesn't seem "human" a lot because normal teens don't really have those awesome brains...Odd...well, I don't know about you but he's just so happy and spontaneous all the time. Of course, he has his down moments too, but those are every once in a blue moon. Yumi is just awesome. Completely awesome. If I could EVER choose to be like an animated character it would be her. But I'm not...and that's that. I think I like Ulrich (OTHER than the reasons stated in my last post, x3) cause he's moody and rude sometimes and slips up on his homework and actually worries about it. Because he has his these awful romantic problems and he shuts people out for it. Haha, I think i like him because he's so flawed.
^^; Hehe, wow, I got into that a little, didn't I? I'm really not used to being able to talk CL so much. *dances off happily*

I agree with this.
Ulrich having these problems is quite the shiz.

... And Yumi is awesome, fer sure. =]

^^;;;;; Sorry about that...I just...yeah, this really isn't the topic for me to go on why I don't like Sasuke. Sometimes he's nie but other times...yeah, I'll stop so I'm not reported or anything like a bad child. x3

x3 Yeah, it's strange isn't it? Him being flawed makes him likeable! :D

But what about Jim's relationship with Sissi? Judging by how friendly and caring they occasionally seem around each other, I'm strongly and firmly believing it's a father-daughter bond. Let's consider the facts, shall we, everyone?

1. Jim knows Sissi's father - personally apparently. Like they are good friends.
2. In the French version of "Code Earth", she addresses Jim by his first name instead of calling him "monsieur".
3. In the latter part of "Holiday in the Fog", he comforted Sissi when she was frightened.
4. In "Canine Conundrum", he chose Sissi to help him pile up the floor mats.
5. In "Attack of the Zombies", as the children are walking out of the cafeteria, Sissi speaks to Jim.
6. In "Contact", Jim first attempts to wake Sissi from her Franz-induced trance by gently jostling her, then he offers to her father to escort her to the infirmary, which he does that night.

I strongly believe that, not just as a fanfic idea, that Jim cared for Sissi when she was a baby. This possibly formed the basis of their friendship.

Exactly. His hesistation to tell Yumi his feelings sometimes makes you want to reach into the screen and shake him "Tell her, boy! Tell her!". And that's exactly what a charater should make you feel. It moves the viewer and gets you caught up in their daily lives. Kind of like a soap opera does...but less boring. The flaws are what makes him and most of the CL characters, human. Heck, even Xana, has flaws, and it's not human to begin with.

Our banners seem to reflect that theory.
That would be interesting to see to some extent, an artifical intelligence grappling with newfound human emotions. It would add more drama to the show I think, and maybe give some much needed depth and development to his character, since he does play a major role in the show. Marvel does that to their lead bad guys sometimes, and it gives the viewers a glimpse of their inner mindset and motivation. Making you hate them more, or sympathize.

1. Could be Jim, seeing as he might have worked in just about every job field, might have met Mr. Delmas outside the school on a number of occasions. Forming a friendship in the process.

2. I can relate to this. Being the daughter of a science teacher, I've called other teachers by their first names before, mostly because they knew my father already or his connections to the school. It showed we were comfortable enough with each other, and I believe Sissi and Jim could have that dynamic as well.

3. In a situtation like that, it's best to not panic. Sissi could have paniced leading to further trouble and the best way to calm her was to comfort her. It's normal for just about anyone regardless of status or position.

4. Again, it's a sign of #2. It's a level of professionalism with respect and friendship thrown in.

5. Well he is part of the main staff, so..^^

6. It was concern for a student's welfare. He would have done the same for Jeremie or Odd. Jim has a duty to make sure things are kept in order, it's his job, as well as to make sure the student body is out of harm's way. If something is amiss, he'll try to find out what it is to the best of his abilty.

We may never know how Sissi and Jim first met, be it at Kadic or beyond. All we have to base on is what we've seen so far. They have a deep respect for each other, on and off sometimes, but it's there. Which is alot better than a deep hatred, since she could get him fired and he could get her in trouble.

Personally, a few friends and I feel it's more in-depth than just a "student-teacher" relationship. Like, maybe he was chosen by her father to babysit her when she was born, and they developed a bond since then? ;) ;) (nudge nudge)

That's a good theory, we may never know, but I can see where you and your friends might see it that way. Personally I don't, I'm just going what I've seen so far. I think it's cute tho. ^^

There are many theories for Aelita in my head, but considering that Odd turned down the chance to see a classic rock group (Aerosmith, but pronounced "Aerosmooth" due to a heavy Asian accent...if you noticed) to see some form of pop-rock, which is one of my favorite genres...and I do like some Subdigitals from the soundtrack....

I however thought, while listening to "Led Zeppelin IV" on my iPod, that what if the gang has other musical tastes other than techno, house, and pop-rock? Odd's eccentric, so he may like Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, and Captain Beefheart. Ulrich looks German, so he may like Rammstein and bands like that. Yumi is obviously into pop. Jeremy....I don't know what music he likes, but it's obviously within Nickelback-ish rock...as he was a little late heading to the Subdigitals concert. William's not into pop-rock, but likes some techno, so he's mainly an alternative rocker that likes different genres and possibly, Nine Inch Nails and Hawthorne Heights (don't call me emo)...

For Aelita, it's hard to say. She likes mixing music, techno, and old stuff that her dad read or made her listen to at the age of 5. I can guess from that that she likes unknown rockers, like Zappa and Don Van Vliet (a fancy way of saying Capt. Beefheart); some mainstream ones, like Led Zeppelin, the Who, Rush, and Pink Floyd; techno, like Daft Punk, Moby, and Prodigy; and alternative/modern rock, like Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and...quite possibly, the Bizkit band, including world's biggest poser...Fred Durst.

Another Sissi-related inquiry that I have is about Sissi's mother. What happened to her?

1. As we all know, many girls like Ulrich. Yumi, Sissi, Emily, Milly and Tamiya. What is it that draws all of them to him?

2. If Jeremy keeps skipping out on Gym, why does he look about the same physic and build as Odd and Ulrich?

1. His handsome face and fit body.

2. I have no clue. More than likely however, he skips the class because the teacher hates him. (Did you even HEAR Jim call Jeremie "you miserable little brat"?).

No. But I'll take your word for it. Jeremie hardly ever eats or sleeps. I blame Anorexia and sleep deprovition[sp?]. I mean watch like two episodes and he'll skip a meal like three times. Or maybe He's like Shaggy off of scooby-doo and has a high metabolism. :D

But Kiwi can't talk. XD

Velma reminds me of Aelita for some strange reason.

Aelita is very Velma-ish. But does this all make Ulrich Fred? Because Ulrich is not very Fred-ish. Especially if Sissi is Daphne. Perhaps Jeremie is Fred? >.> JeremiexSissi. Now that's definitely non-canon.

Either William or Theo would make for a decent Fred...but they're (technically) not main characters (or at least not of the main 5 ), so.... ^^

I once saw a fic of that pairing......O_O And Jeremy could possibly do an experiment on Kiwi to make him talk for a while~
So, it's.....

William/Theo/Jeremy as Fred
Sissi as Daphne
Aelita as Velma
Shaggy as.........hmmmm.......We dunno
and
Kiwi as Scooby Doo

Similarities with Sissi.

Postby Taelia » Sat Mar 22, 2008 3:54 pm

Several wealthy characters (usually girls but some guys) clearly remind me of Sissi. The best one is Karin Kanzuki of Street Fighter Alpha 3.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karin_Kanzuki

Others include Lili from the Tekken games (when she acts kind), Princess Morbucks (from The Powerpuff Girls), Veruca Salt from the Willy Wonka mythos, Lion Rafale of the Virtua Fighter series...

Shall I go on? :)
