Unless Rodri the Depressed is refferring to the 4/5ths team change halfway through. THAT would suck. A lot. Fortunately, I doubt Moonscoop and co. would dare try it. They'd get lynched.

I'd love the Lyoko Warriors to get their own Megazord, but XANA isn't into Godzilla sizing (TeddyGozilla was TINY compared to the Big G), so that's out.

Interesting video. I don't know if Aelita flying is the best idea (I can sense a flaming in my future...) The CGI Animation is obviously getting a lot better. That city-like place that's all red and glowing (sorry, bad description) looks really cool, and nice shading. Some of the choreography was cool too. It's pretty obvious their wrapping up code lyoko with the 4th season.

Unless Rodri the Depressed is refferring to the 4/5ths team change halfway through. THAT would suck. A lot. Fortunately, I doubt Moonscoop and co. would dare try it. They'd get lynched.

A change in the team could happen given the length of the new season. Would it be a surprise? Yes. Will it suck? Yes, unless it's Sissi, whom is more deserving of a better role than being just daddy's spoiled brat and hanging around with two clowns like Hervé and Nicolas.

After Season 2 and 3 ended, the writers are known also to make great episodes, but they cna also insert crap on Code Lyoko.

I'd love the Lyoko Warriors to get their own Megazord, but XANA isn't into Godzilla sizing (TeddyGozilla was TINY compared to the Big G), so that's out.

Megazord... damn. The closest thing they got machinery already would be (based on the trailer) the scenes on the "red city". A Megazord on CL will suck royal *ss.

That city-like place that's all red and glowing (sorry, bad description) looks really cool, and nice shading.

That's the only best thing from all the video, not to forget quality improvement. That red city place looks sort of like Sector 5. Oh, and the characthers seem to look more grown-up, a plus to that.


Other reasons why I hated the trailer:

Aelita getting owerpowered... and with wings!! One of the reasons Season 3 sucked was for owerpowering Aelita, which overshadowed all the rest of the Lyoko warriors. Granted that someday she would be needing a weapon to defend herself against the monsters and stuff, but the way they made her seem powerful was badly handled. And if Jeremie ever shows up in Lyoko, I wouldn't be surprised if his clothing was white and he would be able to levitate on his own.

The Power Ranger feeling...it's horrible, especially when it looks like the crappy Power Rangers.

William is still holding his gay *ss Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts ripoff looks, unform and the sword. I would still be looking forward to a sword duel between him and Ulrich, but... KH blows, end of story.

Odd's change. It's good that Odd's powers are upgraded (the blows he delivers seem to be stronger), he deserves it more than anybody in power terms. Hell, even Aelita seemed at times more powerful than him. But the horns are a turnoff and the uniform design for Odd sucks. His ears sucks too.

About Yumi and Ulrich... I have no complain with Yumi, but Ulrich's uniform looks like an insult to Beatrix Kiddo. Uma Thurman should decapitate the fool who designed Ulrich's clothes.

My hatred on the trailer is mostly on the Power Ranger feeling and Aelita being owerpowered.

I hated the trailer, but it convinces me enough to give Code Lyoko one more shot and at least watch the first 5 episodes of the season.

You may think I'm harsh with CL, but that's the way I'm seeing it.

There's not much of a reason for the sectors to return, though. Any reasons for them to stay (Aelita, deactivating towers, Franz Hopper) are useless now. If not for those reasons the team would have shut it all down long ago. Plus it makes for reasonable sacrifice.

That is so awesome! It reminds more of....darn forgot the name of the show. But Power Rangers is a little off, I think it's something else.

And Aelita has wings....I'm sorry but I seriously have to give a HUGE thumbs down on that. But then again I'm not the writer. If I was there would not be a ginormous sword of William and Aelita WOULD NOT have wings. The only flame I have on the trailer.
(But since I can't play it on this dang computer I had to watch it on my sisters computer with BAD lighting...Odd's outfit looked black and Aelita's wings were..green. Are they green? Because that could kind of ruin the whole outfit.)

The outfit used for Kill Bill volume 1 was an homage to an outfit Bruce Lee wore in Game of Death, and you see it copied all the time. So really, Ulrich's new costume is a copy of that Bruce Lee outfit, not the one from Kill Bill.

You know, that red city looks like Tokyo, Japan in a way! Also, in addition to Aelita's new ability of having wings, do you think she will still have her ability of firing orbs which, in my opinion, should be shining white heavenly orbs (celestial orbs) which are extremely powerful and will unleash a huge wave of white heavenly energy which would destroy multiple monsters upon impact unlike Aelita's Energy Field from before which only destroyed one monster at a time? Also, do you think she will have the ability to create white lightning to strike Xana's monsters in which the entire sky would turn pure white and you would hear awesome quiet rumbling in the pure white sky before the white lightning strikes Xana's monsters?

I honestly don't see the "Power Rangers" connection here....they're not riding around in zords, they're not wearing helmets and colored uniforms, and they're not making overly elaborate hand signals for no direct reason.

That won't be happening though, so there's no worry. Ms. Decroisette said in that interview that I translated that there are not going to be any new Lyoko Warriors for this season (the gang likely not wanting to risk it again).

So, there aren't going to be any team changes.

Plus, after 2 full seasons of her being able to do little less than run away from danger (although her "Coyote/Roadrunner" moments were terribly amusing), I think they had to change tactics in order to keep the episodes from getting monotonous.

I think it was mentioned before, but the design for William's sword (and even his outfit) can easily be linked back to other shows and games that existed before Kingdom Hearts (and which were likely borrowed from).

Ditto what Lady Chaos said. "Kill Bill" took it from Bruce Lee, so they're technically copycats/borrowers/homage-makers as well.

Incidentally though, Tania Palumbo does nearly all of the character designs, and she desigend each and every season 4 outfit too. I think you ought to cut her some slack, maybe, considering there's really no such thing as a "truly original" idea anymore. Everything's borrowed from something. ^^;

Just my opinion though. ^^

Er, well...not quite. The Desert Region shown in the spoiler video is likely one of the "Replikas", these island type masses, that resemble the old Lyoko sectors and that will feature prominently in season 4.

It's not quite Lyoko...but it's close. ^^ (But it does look like Ulrich at least gets his OverBike back *woots* )

Anyway, just to bring up another thought...we didn't see any in the spoiler video, but Ms. Decroisette did mention in her interview that there would be new monsters for the group to fight this season. Considering Aelita's new ability (which also means she no longer has to hitchhike a ride on one of the gang's vehicles)...I'm guessing there will probably be a few more "flying monsters". Any thoughts? ^_^

Ulrich did always have his sprint ability (ex. "Cruel Dilemma" ). They only chose to give it a name in season 2 (which was...well, whatever ^^ ).

What my hunch is, is that Aelita's wings act as her "vehicle" of sorts, since it looks like they have to be virtualized into her form (or at least, she can walk around without them, if the video is any testament). ^^
