I found one that made me laugh. In Final Mix

Aelita: What a pity. After Final Exams I want you to teach me about techno! I love it. It's my new Earthly passion.(insert techo record scratch here)

But what makes me laugh the most about that is the expression on Jeremies' face when the techno sound plays. He looks like he's in a trance lol.

I dunno...Sometimes they're really good, but what I've noticed is that, in general, a show will pump up the cartoony sound effects only when a scene isn't inherently funny. Not all the time, but I certainly get a vibe that’s sort of like the people in charge are saying “Oh, geeze, I hope someone is entertained by this!â€
My sister continually refers to Willam Dunbar as "The Hot Canadian Zombie Guy."

I think this is the greatest nickname in the world.

It's okay if they don't over use it.It can get quite corny when they use the most annoying sound effects they find.

I love those noises!

Remember in "Straight To Heart"
The scratching CD noise after Jim dances disco in front of Odd :D

OMG, that made my day.
My real name is Johnathan Ulrich Gino Dela-Cruz
But call me Gino for short :D
I'm 17!

I don't mind the cartoony sound effects at all. They are the trademark of a good show that is not too good not to jab a little fun at itself every once in a while, and just because those sounds have been around forever definitely does not mean they, or the shows they appear in, are meant for little kids. It's good that CL can maintain a slight cartoon-ish nature even though the characters and scenarios are much more mature than those of most other family-rated animated programming.

*nod* Everyone loves a happy medium.
