If you could create a new region what would it be?

I'd make a region I call 'The Grasslands' - imagine Rohan from the Lord of the Rings movies - long rolling plains with high grass and occasionally an outcrop of rocks.

Scenically this would add a bit more scale to Lyoko - a region with very little divisions or chasms into the Digital Sea would convey just how big Lyoko is.

Plot-wise it would be interesting as there's almost no cover from enemy attacks and could make for some interesting battles - the open space would also allow for interesting tricks and attacks with the vehicles.

A mirror region sounds cool, like in the phantom of the opera (the book) except that the phantom's mirror room makes people go insane.......

But I suppose it's better then my whole snow region thing!

I agree. But I would like a Paper Mario region. Yeah, like Rougeport and stuff, but then we would have to worry about the X-nauts. :D

Maybe a combination of all the sectors... a volcano sector? No, no ice or forest... maybe a cave region? It could have ice at the entrance, and then fire at the end?
thank you all for the good memories <3

I'd go step further and make the new regions being inside the character's heads (seeing as how they're all connected to the computer).

It be like Pyschonauts. :)

hopper team log 1989-1994 we have been working on "project carthage" and it is a major sucess we have also been working secretly on a project we like to call "project intersteller" in this project we are working on possible virtual connections to other planets and mabey even teleportation because if you can virtualize here you will be able to either insta beam (a new term we came up with for instant intersteller comunication that uses random worm holes and many other shortcuts to transmit info near immediately!!!) or (high energey cost but 99% reliable) controlled wormhole beam info to distant planets....but as we do this we are seeing implications that it could mean either technological advancement out of this world(literaly) or complete war and bad useage of our technology for dark perposes
with this mind I have evolved and conquered the land element of a world that spins 1,038 mph/1600kph at its equator and soon with this mind i will reach into the universe....to be continued with dimensional warping technology

A Lava/Volcano region would be awesome! They could knock monsters into the lava and watch them burn. (Except I guess there's no heat on Lyoko, since there's apparently no cold) :umm:

Going back to my mental world idea, that would be what Yumi's mind would look like I think... Himmm

Yumi's: A mix of feudal japan and gothic rock influences.

Ulrich: Probbly would be like a track and field gym class, I imagine since he's an athletic kid. Probbly be evil Ninja's too, and a ode to Yumi somewhere in there. Weather changes from rainy to sunny, because Ulirchs pretty emo.

Odd: Break Break Break dance! A music video, and tons of girls. Really all upbeat and everything, but Odd seems like the type to me that would hide his pain away beneath these happy things so i imagine a small small small corner of the region would contain something that bothers him.

Jeremy: Probbly a mix of modern art + influences of a technological base, I can see the inhabinants of this region being Robots as Jer seems like the type of kid who before meeting his friends found comfort in the company of machines, probbly the reason why he fell so madly in love with Aelita.

Jim: two words here: "Milk Man". If you don't know what that means go out and play the game Pyschonauts. This region would explain, in a quirky way, Jimbo's many many jobs and why he's so secretive about it.

Ah that leaves Sissi and Aelita, but I got to think more on them.

YumiUlrichFan already suggested it, but a kava sector is awesome. I drew one...with my OC Calda in it...and there's brown mountains in the background and lava on the ground...there's almost no ground...all lava. But anywayz, YumiUlrichFan, you can just not FEEL it...there actually is hot and cold but you can't feel it. You'd feel shock and impact but that's it.

Perhaps a jungle region. Similar to the forest, but with a lot more trees, and rain falling ^^

How about instead of new sectors to Lyoko, a connection to the internet - now that XANA's out they might have to use Lyoko as the access point to external networks?

The connection could be a gigantic tower extending out from Carthage and up through the digital sea into cyberspace - the kids would have to climb or ride their vehicals up it to get out of Lyoko and onto the net.

I'd SO make a region that looks a lot like Derris-Kharlan from Tales of Symphonia... but, there's like no one on that board that has played the game xD; Much less that far, I bet :O

Well, it's pretty. The airspace is a cloudy mix of purple, black and blue. The walking areas have plateaus with long pathways (much like those in the ice and forest sectors), and it's got this empty feel to it... :O It's also got a random town in it called Welgaia and erm... my favorite dungeon xD;

Sadly, this is the closest thing that I can get to of showing what the actual territory looks like. Once I find my second disk (>>; ) I'll take some pictures myself...

I agree they might need it, but two questions...

1) Why Carthage? Why not one of the other four, which are much easier to get to?

2) Are we assuming that the SuperCalculator can make up some form of visual representation of the kids surroundings when they aren't on Lyoko?

1) Because Carthage is the most powerful and holds the energy able to do that. It shut down military weapons and computers, remember?

2) What would you mean?

Ok, I've got one. A desrt region! Heh heh heh, just joking. Let's see...um...wait...Got it! A region that is almost completely pitch black, without walls. The only things that can be seen are the edges of the area. It's challenging for the Lyoko gang, but also the monsters.
