Eh... I just kinda guessed. I'm not that good at analyzing moves. >>;

Hmm... well, she doesn't exactly have a Tessenjutsu poster in her room, so it's harder to tell.

Well...she'd have had to have learned martial arts from someone in the past. Otherwise she wouldn't know it in the present. ^^

There has been speculation about her style and teacher. One of the theories is that Ulrich taught her, but GK, and "Just In Time" seem to point otherwise. Plus, there styles aren't terribly similar enough to suggest that. :)

I would love to know who taught her. It may put things into a better perspective as to Yumi's character. As far as for Ulrich, I notice he is more of an opportunity fighter, he tends to think out plans a bit better than the rest. Just my observation.

To me Odd tends to be very random in his fighting, he seems to be more of a point and shoot kinda guy. At least as far as I can tell.

He likes to barrage things too much. He uses up his arrows ^^; at least in the first season when he had limited ones.

posibly, to the unlimited arrows. Plus a little Randomness in battle makes things interesting. Thats all you can sort of do with guns/bows/odd's arms :D, just fire. Well unless you get realy creative.(Franz hopper, punching match. ;) .

It not that they are limited or unlimited its that jeremie has to reload them for odd but I don't know how many he get in a round.

He used to have 10 arrows, then after Franz Hopper made them honing, Jeremie fixed them so they were unlimited. That's why you never hear him saying 'Jeremie, I'm all out of arrows!'

now I understand..and hey, I thought you could only destroy monsters from the Xana mark thing on them...but in one episode in the desert region...Ulrich rolls under one with is motorcycle thing and stabs one from the underside, and it exploded, I was like is that even possible?

I think he did that because his sword went through the crab and came out the top so I think he did hit the spot

True, I do remember seeing that happen, but I thought they they could only do it from the top side, the bottom look like armor of some sort...I guess I was wrong.

of course now that i think about it, the underside of the crab has an opening in it, just large enough for the sword to pierce it, so maybe thats what ulrich took advantage of.

Swinging this back on topic...Odd's style seems to be something he's more than likely concocted himself (much like all things with him ^^ ). There's little doubt he's based it slightly off of Ulrich and Yumi's individual styles and moves, but he also seems to have added in elements from certain anime/manga fighting styles...as well as a little bit of "haymaker" style too, if I'm not mistaken. ^^

Like Ryoga Hibiki from Ranma 1/2 combined Terry Bogard from the saga of Fatal Fury o.o is that right?

that sounds about right, and I notice that with his arrows and stuff, he does get creative with it, like in one episode I think he reflected it off of something and killed a monster, unless that was Yumi's fan. Can Odd's arrows deflect off of things, or is my memory wrong?

I don't remember deflections, specifically, but in Amnesia, Odd was able to give it a little spin in order curve the tragectory of the laser arrow and make it go in a sorta loop, which was rather successful.

For Odd's fighting style, like I've said before, it seems a combination of Odd's natural athletic ability cobbled together with his somewhat random nature, creative thinking, and things you would of seen in heavily choreographed martial arts/fighting movies. I would think at the very least, he has had some training in western boxing, by his stance and footwork in Franz Hopper and arguably what he started out doing when he fought Jeremie in Mr. Puck. Not the most organized or prettiest thing to look at, but it has to be of some effect if the gang would allow him to voluntarily fight on the real world, instead of going to Lyoko.
